If my period is due on Saturday and a pregnancy test today was negative - what are the chances?

I really feel like we've failed again this month.

An early pregnancy test was negative today - we've got no chance have we?

Now I'm panicked that the cheapy tests are wrong so DH is buying some pricey ones tonight - I'm terrified to take them.

Now, do you think my HCG levels rose slowing and I ovulated at the normal time - making me nearly 8 weeks?

Or did I ovulate late, making me 4 weeks?

Confused

So so happy!!!!!!!!!!!!

No idea about your 8 week question! Congratulations though! If the cheap ones picked it up, that's a good sign! As more expensive are more sensitive!

This is the second day of my missed period, and I got a tesco digi negative. I felt pregnant yesterday, strange back ache but today, I really feel period pains. It's so confusing!

HopeCalvary · 10/03/2011 16:34

p.s. You will not have to face your 'evil red tide of doom!' aha

emmaloupolman · 10/03/2011 16:42

my friend got a bnp on a test frm the 99p shop

BabyBorn · 10/03/2011 17:56

Congratulations! How long did it take you to concieve? Im on month two at the moment after having the mirena coil removed. Im still on my 2 week wait with 5 days to go! xx

Chocolocolate · 10/03/2011 20:47

Clearblue Digital says I am pregnant Smile

It says 2-3 weeks, but I'm not going to presume any date until I've seen a doctor.

I'm such a stress head - I'm now panicked that it's going to go away. Sad

I don't 'feel' pregnant.

Thanks for all of the congratulations.

This was month 3 of trying after an op to unstick my tubes from the back of my uterus (due to endometriosis)and remove a large endometrioma. I have an aggressive form of endo and my consultant gave me a 6-month window before she thought there would be significant enough regrowth of the endometriosis to affect my fertility again.

I'm ecstatic and terrified at the same time (can you tell it's my first pregnancy)

I wish you all the luck in the world Hope Calvary - I got BFNs until nearly 4 weeks after AF was due.

Thanks again for all the support everyone.

Congratulations!!!

I'm 12dpo and just did a Superdrug cheapo, got BFN despite feeling pg for the entire 2ww. So horrible how your body can play tricks on you. I'm just hoping AF won't come (usually 16dpo) and I'm heartened by gruffalo s post using the Superdrug cheapos, maybe they'll bring me some luck if I get some more Smile

phooey · 10/03/2011 20:53

I'm feeling quite teary after my BFN and have just stopped hysterical laughing at the idea of someone getting a 'BNP' on a 99p test emmaloupolman Grin Sorry but it made me belly laugh when i needed it!!

barmbrack · 10/03/2011 20:57

Oooooooooooooohhhhhh!!! MASSIVE congrats!!! Grin

PuraVida · 10/03/2011 21:11

Sob Choco I just clicked on this thread by accident but got hooked by your mystery cycle. I am so pleased for you. Congratulations what wonderful news after weeks of uncertainty

emmaloupolman · 10/03/2011 21:29

phooey yh i thought it was funny just goes 2 show u they all do the same thing no matter the price

phooey · 10/03/2011 21:34

I mean 'BNP' is a fairly offensive political party, whereas 'BFP' or 'BFN' are typical pg test results. Amusing to find the BNP popping up on a pg test - would it mean you're pg with a racist skinhead baby?

Oh dear hahaha

Grin
HopeCalvary · 11/03/2011 00:42

Hehe 'BNP'! Gotta laugh! That made me chuckle too! I am the worst person for spelling! I think I may be dyslexic, I'm trying to find out where to take a test!

15dpo
Anyway, update, very strong cramping in mid and lower back for two days, gums still sore, still fainty when get up too quick. No af. Due yesterday!

So glad for you Chocolate! Especially with all you have been through, will be praying you have a great pregnacy and birth. And come on Phooey you can do it, and all ye other ladies!!

phooey · 11/03/2011 07:47

Ooh Hope it sounds really positive for you, any plans to POAS?

I have brown blood this morning, not much, hoping it's implantation bleeding as am 13dpo but I usually get brown spotting in the few days before my period so not too hopeful combined with last night's BFN.

It ain't over til the fat red lady sings. Have been invited on night out, but think will stay in and have a quiet one as don't want to drink and had a rubbish night out last weekend not drinking!

HopeCalvary · 11/03/2011 08:29

Oh, really hope it's not the fat red lady for you! No red tide of doom for me yet, but trying so hard not to test now till sunday. Here's a thing too. I always thought I was six weeks when I found out I was pregnant. I'm pretty sure it was the sixth of june 2008 when I found out I was six weeks pregnant (so the hospital told me after a scan.

I concieved on 26th april 2008. And my son was born at 39 plus one day 19th Jan 2009. Only it doesn't work out.

I only had sex with my husband once that month and not before(long story). So I had to have concieved then. And if you count it, it would have made me at least 41 weeks when I gave birth. No wonder he was 9 pounds! Suprised that even though I insisted on the date of conception, the hospital seems to have got it quite badly wrong.

Did I work it out right?

HopeCalvary · 11/03/2011 08:31

Oh, and my point was, that means I was actually in my 9th week when I got a positive and 8th week when I got a negative!

HopeCalvary · 11/03/2011 08:57

Just had a really bad wave of nausea which has subsided...

HopeCalvary · 11/03/2011 09:01

Oh and Phooey, I'm sorry, I don't understand POAS? sheepish I've seen it written a lot and been to shy to admit I have no idea what people are on about! LOL

Poppyjen · 11/03/2011 09:28

Hi Hope, [poppyjen waves at Hope from the November bus]

it means "pee on a stick" Smile

Fascinated by this thread...

HopeCalvary · 11/03/2011 10:05

OOoooohh!! Thankyou! lol seems obvious now!

[Sending waves back to poppyjen ]

In that case, I was going to do my poundland firstvue test today and save my second tesco digital for sunday, but my 2 year old was up all night with a cough, and I weed my first morning wee away whilst busy making him a hot drink :( lol ( I mean whilst it was in the mircowave!)

I'm wondering though if I'm just one of those women who doesn't get a bfp for weeks and weeks. I am tempted to just see if Af doesn't return, I'm much more confident today, and the more confident you are with your symptoms, I think the easier it is to wait as you aren't so desperate for another kind of indication if you know what I mean.

I wish we could join all the threads together! Whoever isn't on the november bus thread should get on it too :) xx

emmaloupolman · 11/03/2011 10:07

Sorry guys for my wrong spelling

HopeCalvary · 11/03/2011 11:48

Awwwhh Emma, I spell things wrong all the time! It wasn't really a wrong spelling it was just a funny typo, hope you don't feel we were taking the pee, no offence intended!!! Are you ttc? x

Poppyjen · 11/03/2011 12:14

me too - my worst was [bush] instead of [ blush ] when I was trying to use one of the emoticons (Blush)...could have been misinterpreted so many ways..... Grin

emmaloupolman · 11/03/2011 18:21

I'm learning slowly

HopeCalvary I have been ttc for 18 months Sad

HopeCalvary · 11/03/2011 19:20

poppyjen that's hilarious! Much like the 'reasons not to have an iphone' don't know if anyone has seen that? It's a page full of people's correction errors, so funny!

emmaloupolman I hope this is your month! I admire you trying for so long. You must have had so many ups and downs.
