I'm on cerazette at moment.
Have been on it for year and half. Mycrogynon begore that.

Going to try for another ds/dd soon.

Do I need to stop cerazette and have one AF before trying? (Obv, I know I need to stop the pill Grin, it's more the timing I'm a bit lost on)

Can't remember how long I left between stopping pill and ttc last time!

hi tigana, I'm not an expert and am just repeating things I've heard here on MN, but conventional wisdom seems to be:

Come off the pill and get a full cycle in, but only because it will help clarify dates (and the GP might grumble if you don't). The first day of your period is the first day of your new cycle and you can start TTC (there's loads on here about ovulation/key timing etc which was all new to me!)

There's a rumour that people have a bit of a surge of hormones when they come off the pill which is supposed to help with conception, but as far as I know there's no science behind that at this stage.

However, it's totally up to you. I was worried when I came off the pill last year that there might be some non-baby friendly residual hormones for a while but there doesn't seem to be evidence for that.

Finally, loads of people on here report taking a while to settle back into regular cycles when coming off the pill. For me personally, I pretty much slipped back into pre-pill patterns, but I'm not sure about ovulation etc.

Good luck! Hope to see you on some of the threads from time to time.
