hi there, no news here. Sorry about the negative test isaboo. I hate those digital tests myself and steer clear. It's depressing enough anyway to get a bfn but those make it worse somehow.

As for me, I had a scan yesterday and it showed that i am one of the small proportion of people that clomid thins the womb lining for. Going back for another scan tomorrow (haven't ov'ed as of today), but I'm not sure what they do if womb lining too thin. A quick google shows that they can either give you progesterone or oestrogen to thicken the lining but I'm not sure about that! Anyway, sod's law that it has adverse effects on me.

Hope you don't feel too rotten diege but glad you are feeling sick anyway iyswim.

The woman I know who had a mc just after me last year is due to give birth any day now. things like that make me feel a bit sad - time has just flown by. then again we're focusing on our holiday and moving house and work is so busy that I don't have much time to dwell on it now.

TinaO99 · 15/03/2011 09:07

thanks diege and isaboo am still hopeful that I will get a peak, still a high this morning and I had to break into a new box of testing sticks!

Isaboo I peeled apart one of those cheap testing sticks the other week to try and prove it was wrong lol, so I know where you're coming from!

gum am i roght in thinking you're in oz??? If so you lucky thing! we're hoping to emigrate there next year - just going through the visa process and planning on heading to perth when we get it :-)

hippychick66 · 15/03/2011 10:09

Tina - I hope you do get to ovulate and that it's just running a bit late this month. I'm in a similar position. Day 12 yesterday and still no smiley face on an OPK - usually get a pos on about day 10. BUT I did look back and see that last time I got pregnant I didn't get a positive until day 12. Maybe my body and yours are taking extra time to make super duper eggs this month.

Isaboo - I have also taken many digital tests apart. I would assume that I was preggers if I saw that second faint line (a line is a line etc) but having read what Gum put I am not so sure now. Sorry, it must be bloody torture - why not try a first response with a good strong morning urine. Good luck. I did laugh at you saying that the stick pompously told you you were not pregnant.

Italian - Oh go on then, you can have Paella (but Diege is soo not gonna make it for you what with her being violently sick and all that). I agree about the Disney Ads. Fortunately my boys don't want to go there. To quote one of them:- That creepy mouse follows you around!!

diege good news about the sickness. I know it's horrid but you didn't get it last time and that's how you kinda knew all was not well. So as crap as it is at least you know things are establishing themselves.

lou Good luck back at work. It must be awful to have to go back and face people giving you there sympathy. BUT at least you have a little secret to keep you going (something esle to worry about more like Grin)

jolls So sorry you got AF. I totally agree about the planning to be pregnant and fat and so not bothering. I have revised my expectations too, just like you and BB.

But remember that lia was very down and sure she wasn't gonna get pregnant any time soon and look at her now. You have got pregnant before and you will again, my sweet.

BB sorry that clomid is not working well for you. Can you remind me why you are taking it please???

I am so fucked off about this house. Yes you heard me, fucked off. My DH is a lovely man but if he adds one more job to the 'To Do Before Photo's List' I will kill him with my bare hands Angry. I currently have 5 things on my list and he has 11. Some of them are quite small quick things but I'm bloody convinced he adds things when I'm not looking. In the meantime people in RL and the Estate agent are asking ME constantly what is the delay. Arrggghhhh

BeattieBow · 15/03/2011 10:24

aargh just lost a message!

hippy I'm taking it because it can apparently help with LP issues and womb lining. But there are a small proportion of women who it has an adverse effect on and may cause thinning of womb lining. Typical it is me!

anyway, another scan tomorrow to see how things are going and to look at my follicles! Yesterday's one did identify some follicles which is good which shows ov is close to occurring. but I knew I ovulate anyway.

I feel ok now just concentrating on holiday and moving.

tina I thought about emigrating too - watched Phil Spencer in Australia recently and thought it looked lovely. Unfortunately our "trades" aren't on the list so it doesn't look as though we can go! I like the look of Melbourne I think, but don't know anything about it!

Your beach does look lovely gum. very different from my local beach!

TinaO99 · 15/03/2011 10:31

hippy I like the super duper eggs idea lol, got a flipping woman sitting near me at work thats a couple of months preggers and already has bits and bobs of baby stuff hanging around on her desk (books etc) grrr I don't need to see it it's like rubbing salt in my wounds!

hippychick66 · 15/03/2011 11:02

tina ((())) I know it's hard. But maybe it's just her turn right now. Always remember we don't know how long it took her to get preg or what problems she's had in the past (or maybe you do and I'm talking shit Grin). Anyway, try not to look at all her stuff and just focus on making that lovely ripe egg.

BB Yes, it is good to have other stuff to concentrate on isn't it? Even if it's planning how to kill your hubbie!!! I see now why the clomid. Shame it didn't do it's job for you.

BeattieBow · 15/03/2011 11:16

oh hippy didn't see that bit of your post. My dh is quite similar - just keeps putting obstacles in the way that we need to solve before we can move. In our case, before we can rent our house out. It's annoying because I don't feel that he ever comes up with solutions, just the problems.

Easter is a prime time to get the house on the market - so tell him to pull his finger out!

TinaO99 · 15/03/2011 11:22

well hippy and beattie I have a valuation set up on our house for the 26th march and have TONS of painting tidying and general maintenance etc to do before we put the house on the market but am hoping it can go on in may

any tips for selling would be appreciated! We're selling up prior to emigrating but am hoping for a quick sale so we can get into cheaper accommodation so we can start saving, at the moment the mortgage is crippling us

hopefulgum · 15/03/2011 12:10

Tina, that's very exciting that you want to live in Western Australia - I'm in the south, about 5 hours south of Perth.

Perth is a nice city - but does get very hot in the summer. My eldest son lives there and complains about how hot it gets because he works outdoors. Today was 35 degrees celcius, but that's not as hot as some days. But it is clean and has nice beaches, and Rottnest Island is only a half hour ferry ride away and the island is my most favourite place in the whole world.

I like Melbourne better than Perth, in terms of it being a city. It's really well set out - has great public transport and is great for the arts. It also has the advantage of being closer to Sydney,Queensland and Tasmania. Western Australia is fairly isolated, but we love it. I'm not a city girl, so I don't really mind.

Do you have family or friends in Perth?

Nothing to report here.Have had a yucky taste in my mouth all day, but although I get that when I'm pregnant I just looked over my other charts and I've had it many times when I haven't been pregnant.

Waiting sucks.

TinaO99 · 15/03/2011 12:17

gum I definitely won't be complaining about the heat Grin we have a friend there, that's about it, just want a better life and more opportunities and as we're in our early 40s it's got to be sooner rather than later!

My hubby can get in on a skilled visa and then hopefully i'll get work fairly quickly when we get there

can't wait to be honest as I've had enough of the weather and lifestyle here, my only regret is my daughter, she's 20 this year and at the moment won't come with us, we're adding her to the visa just in case but it will be heart breaking to leave her but at her age she'll be leaving home before too long anyway and this is our last chance

hippychick66 · 15/03/2011 12:39

I don't know what is going on. I mention moving to the Island and BB jumps in and is off to that secret place begining with L Grin and now Tina thinks she can top my move with a little hop over to the other side of the world Shock

Seriously though tina am totally jealous. Went to Oz a million lifetimes ago when I was 24 and young free and single. Was there really a time when I didn't know my DH and had no knowledge of my two lovely sons???? Yes, Hippy there was.

tina you still have to keep in touch with us though - you'll just be on here at odd times like gum.

gum hope the taste in your mouth is a good sign. FX

hippychick66 · 15/03/2011 12:41

Sorry didn't mean to speak in bold. Put the in the wrong place.

Curlylox · 15/03/2011 13:53

Ah wondered what the hold up was with your house hippy......your DH! Are these little things quite obvious, can't you still get th EA in anyway?

OP posts:
hippychick66 · 15/03/2011 14:58

Oh curly if you only knew my DH you'd know that it's easier to just shut up and let him get on with it rather than have the whole 'people will fall in love with the house if we do this etc etc' talk AGAIN! Grin

Someone sent me an email where a woman has photographed her baby whilst asleep and made her look like she is in a picture.

Not explained well but if you want a look here is a link cute baby pics

Just a little warning - it will make you EVEN MORE broody so don't look if you can't handle it. XXX

Keep clicking on NEXT because they get better - I love the Budha one.

hippychick66 · 15/03/2011 15:01

Just realised that it goes on to some other photo's after the baby - and they are not cute. So please stop clicking Next after the baby on the elephant. Sorry to be so bossy - I'll sod off and collect the boys now!

Isaboo · 15/03/2011 15:37

That would be the baby terrorizing photos afters....sorry I had to look it has made me laugh so hard I spilt my coffee....

hippychick66 · 15/03/2011 15:47

Yes, isi not quite as cute huh???? Grin But did you like the others?

Diege · 15/03/2011 19:35

Grin Hippy I had to carry on to the terrorising photos too and they did make me laugh Grin On the 'nice' ones, loved the baby 'holding' the bunch of balloons!
Gum the yucky taste in mouth was my first sign this time, but I too get it on and off when not pregnant Confused
Ok here, with the cyclazine kicking in now. It really does help with the sickness, though the downside is that I am extremely drowsy at all times - beats throwing up though!
Off to Cardiff after work tomorrow for a meeting, so probably won't get on till Friday now. LOve to all x

lolfactor · 15/03/2011 20:01

Good grief! I've just spent 20 minutes reading the thread. It reads like an episode of Loose Women!. Hears to all the house-movers. God, I know what you're going through. I got so stressed out last August when I finally sold the 'family home and downsized. I sent stuff to the auction house without a reserve by mistake. Someone got the hand-woven Tibetan carpet (£2k) for a fiver. I had to be philosophical, but I felt like finding out who they were are ringing them to scream, 'Do you KNOW what you've got? Don't line the hen house with it!'

Gum and Tina I love Rottnest Island too. Dad lives in Perth after moving from Albany. It's up there with the island of Herm (but has more beautiful beaches).

Diege glad the sickness stuff works. It's a really good sign - I'm so pleased for you.

Well - my symptoms died. Got a pink streak at 6 dpo, then nothing. Feeling philosophical, but wishing this cycle was over so I can get going again. Although when dsd climbed into bed and sat on my head at 5.30 this morning I wasn't so sure. I'm letting myself into the bistro (seeing as I'm never there at the same time as you guys) and whipping up a chicken liver salad. Yum

lolfactor · 15/03/2011 20:02

Meant 'here's' Dementia has set in.

Isaboo · 15/03/2011 21:38

lolfactor sorry for loss of symptoms you are v honest with yourself which is amazing and very sane of you and I am still hoping something good will happen for you Smile

Hippy yep the cute babies were adorable the waves one was lovely too but am obviously a sicko finding the scared babies very funny....

Gum nasty mouth taste was a big one for me in my good went to term pregnancies so hang in there

Another BFN this morning (strangely not so gutted this time ?) and the lovely AF called in this afternoon .....which sucks to quote my 10 year old so will be joining lolfactor in the midweek bistro for a restorative gallon of guilt free wine and will pinch a bit of her chicken liver salad while talking too much about something quite dull ...like my kids in that pissed bore sort of way

Forget about hormones bringing your cycle into line we too are moving i would give my back teeth to say to Rottnest Island just to upset Hippy but in fact only to a two up two down in the village while the builders trash our house ..

Italiangreyhound · 16/03/2011 01:12

Lol sorry about lack of symptoms.

Rottnest Island I went diving there in the 90?s!

Just watching an ad for trainers, trousers and tops, easy tone, can they really tone you!!!!

www.independent.co.uk/extras/indybest/outdoor-activity/the-50-best-fitness-essentials-2218954.html?action=Gallery&ino=37

here

Hippy looked at the photos and did not obey you and kept looking, yukky photos of kids crying! But love the baby with the balloons.

Tina try and stay detached at work, don?t stress about your colleague. If/when you are pregers you can have books galore on your desk. As Hippy says, you don?t know what struggles she has been through, or not, as the case may be. I watch One born every minute and am always surprised at the stories and how what seems like a straight forward case of pregers when you want it, is actually a lot more complex!

Oh Hippy please get your kids to tell my kid about the creepy mouse following you around at Disney Land!

I?m feeling fine. Not too worried. Struggling with this whole weight loss thing. It seems to be two steps forward, two steps back, or even worse, one step forward and two steps back. What I think is weird is that I don?t do the typical thing, diet, lose, put on then put even more on, and I don?t just lose, I lose then go right back to where I was, I mean to the bloody pound! What is going on? Really want to give t my best shot for May! Have had problems with DD behaviour of late but it is improving. She would make a fab big sister and I really keen to give her the longed-for ?sibling even though I feel very old at 46 to be doing this!

hugs to all.

TinaO99 · 16/03/2011 09:15

thanks italian she's moving soon anyway so I won't have to stress so much Grin

hubby has an appointment at the hospital next week for his sperm test so I'm happy that things seem to be moving along a little, after this and depending on the results it's a case of getting refferal to the clinic )privately unfortunately) for further tests.

seems like there's quite a few of us moving house or planning to! I have more wallpaper stripping and painiting to do this weekend - feels like a mammoth task at the moment as we also have a garage full of rubbish that needs clearing before we can move more rubbish in from the house in preparation to get it photographed and put on the market, where did we accumulate all this stuff is what I want to know as every time we move I get rid of skips full of stuff!!

I blame my daughter as most of it is hers and she won't throw it away lol!

louisesh · 16/03/2011 09:31

Hi all hope everyone s well.

Survived work yesterday. Its actually ok as i m just doing admin work at the mo not seeing patients. That will be the test.I actually got bored about 11.30 good job i finished at 12!!! God knows how i m going to get on with full days next week1!!!!

Day off again yeh!!!!! Going to clean my house then chill.Nothing to report here nausea intermittently and got rip roaring thrush oh the pain!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ve always been lucky and never really had thrush very often but oh, when i do get it god do i know!!!! Could rip my fanjo to threads!!!! Keep going with the cream and natural bloody yoghurt!!!!

Scan tomorrow so we ll see Hmm.Love to all XXX

lolfactor · 16/03/2011 11:03

Italian you are NOT old and you must NEVER think it. There, that's me catching a bit of Hippy bossiness. Where was it I read of a lovely midwife from the Caribbean who was laughing at the term 'elderly gravida' as her sister had had her last baby at 52? Anyway, every time I'm feeling like you, I imagine her chuckling as she straps the fetal monitor on to some glowing 40-something mum.

And as for weight - the lady in 'One Born Every Minute' seemed to think it was the least of her problems. She was right. That bloody waste of space standing weeping with fear outside the theatre should be her main concern. I could have socked him one. My Year 7s have more b*s. It sounds like you're doing everything you can to work out how to stay healthy, and you can't do anything more than that. The shoes will tone your muscles, but won't help you lose weight. They'll just help you hold it all in - which in turn could boost your self-esteem and help with other weight loss programmes.

Isaboo I'm expecting my hormones to start tracking someone on this thread. I'm due next Tuesday and don't seem to match anyone properly - even my 14 year-old daughter, which is odd. Bad luck with the AF but glad you're philosophical. It means you can feel really loving towards this purty new egg you're hatching. Fingers crossed for you for this time.

Good luck with the clear out, Tina. Sounds like you're going to need a skip. Shame you can't use mine. The builders have just finished. SO glad I spent the money - I've made two med size bedrooms out of one large (ish) and one v small one. Growing teenagers. Just don't want to make it too comfy in case they stay. I love them, but I have read of all these kids who are still at home aged 30. It fills me with dread. I'm dreaming of a tidy kitchen and that's not going to happen with two teenagers plus friends.

Lou I suggest you wear oven gloves permanently until it's gone. It sounds like you're going to cause some serious damage. If you're going to walk like John Wayne for the next week, you might as well complete the humiliation by wearing them Grin!
