White line on preg test????

I did a pregnancy test this morning and was just wondering whether it was normal for a bright white line to appear on the stick. I gather this test was negative but wondered if the white line meant anything or if my test was void?? Would be grateful if someone could give me some advice..never heard of this before.

thanks xx

it is the space where the colour would appear if the test was positive. Otherwise known as an evaporation line and more common on the cheaper variety of tests.

Yes it was a cheap test..does that mean a definate negative then??

fraid so! unless you have tested too early of course, it isn't over until your period arrives. But on a test the line needs to be blue or pink.
