Vitamin A: Yes or No?

The Food Standard Agency website says to avoid multivitamins that include vitamin A because 'too much' can harm a developing baby. But I live in the US and the baby books here say that vitamin A is 'a baby friendly anti-oxidant'. All the prenatal multivitamins here include vitamin A. So how much is too much? Confused of NYC....

Well as you say you do need vitamin A, but too large quantities can be harmful, apparently. Perhaps it is only included at lower levels in the prenatal vitamins over there?
