Blood Pregnancy Tests

Hi Ladies,

Just wondering if anyone out there can offer me some advice or just listen to me moan abit...

Ok here goes...

Me and my husband DTD on NYE and NYD my AF's are slightly irregular so im not exactly sure the dates of my last period was...however im pretty sure it was mid december...I pretty much always know when AF is on her way as i get all the tell tale signs - cramping sore boobs PMT etc etc

However this month - nothing...

A few days after NYD i started to get some mild cramping i assumed AF was on her way however these were mild in comparison to my usual AF...A few days later i had a very light bleed nowhere in comparison to my usual AF not enough to fill a pad however more and was produced in more of a "spot" than a usual flow if that makes sense?...

Anyway i assumed it was just my normal period however since then i have been experiencing extreme fatigue and nausea/morning sickness a few shooting pains through the breasts and backpain like you wouldnt believe...this has been accompanied by some mild cramping/pelvic pain alot milder than that of AF however enough to notice its there....

I have been to A&E, The Clinic, The Drs everyone who have all tested me for everything from STI's to UTI's all of which have come back clear...and my health has been confirmed as being in good condition

Today i went back to my GP who suggested that i take a blood pregnancy test as all urine ones have come back negative...so i guess what i am asking is... is there a chance i could be pregnant?

Did anyone else have any symptoms similar to this and then found out they were pregnant or suffering from any other condition?

Or did anyone receive a BFN on a urine however BFP on a blood sample?

I have also been referred for a pelvic scan and abdominal ultrasound...however i am very anxious as this has been going on for sometime now and am yet to find out what is wrong

Any advice would be really appreciated

I have a friend who has never had a positive pregnancy test despite having 2 kids. her body doesnt excrete the hcg in the form that the tests pick up. She does test positive on blood tests though.

Im just so anxious the Dr said that the blood results wont be back until next week... so im waiting as patiently or impatiently as ever

Im hoping it does come back positive or else im confused over what else could be wrong with me as the symptoms im having ive never had before...:-/

hi modelmom, im in the same place as you. i am waiting til next week to be examined by gp and blood test. my last af was 17th and i have a 27 day cycle. the wait is awful i agree. i have symptoms that i remember from when i was preg with ds, but not getting a bfp when i poas

its so comforting when you have someone in the same boat as you - this would be my first pg if i was to successfully conceive

i think thats part of the reason i am so confused as obviously ive never had any of the symptoms im experiencing now....before

what kind of symptoms are you having if you dont mind me asking x x x x

im just a lil tireder than usual...i never sleep during the day but i have been feeling like i need to sleep (but if i do sleep im up at night thinking "what if " lol
nausea and my boobs r sensitive....oh and bras no longer fit

before my af was due i had cm, but that has slowed down now....i now want to pee all the time (and to check af hasnt arrived)

it all something and nothing if u know what i mean. i have good days and bads

the worst part is waiting :( i keep wondering if af and my mind is playin tricks with me, but then i could be one of these late detections that i hear of (and gp warned me of)

lol well im with you i have days where im good and days where im like omg i am sooo pg!

like the other day i opened a pack of biscuits and was gagging like you wouldnt believe! i immediately thought who actually DOES that unless they are pg?!

this morning i had the usual gag - i find once i eat then im kinda settled but today its been more ongoing than usual

i dont know if im bein paranoid but the boobs look larger the bra i was wearing today looked and felt a little tight but then i dont know if im just spotting things now sigh they werent sore before i had a few shooting pains but deffo noticing them getting a little tender now

my back kills if i walk/stand for too long ive never experienced backpain in my life and deffo an increase in CM

i think its just a mix of all these new unusual things going on with my body thats causing me to raise an eyelid!

would this be your first? xx

Gosh sounds like how i am :) I have a 4 year old son I knew before the test that time. It's not like me to be late.

I think im just nervous with the blood tests i think il die if it comes back to say negative :(

and i think cos its about a week before the last AF type thing i had in my original thread im scared il just get her like normal i do hope it was an implantation bleed xxxx

When us your blood test ... I've been told to wait til next week but I was due on 14 - 15 th this month :s take it no ad up to now xx

I took the test yesterday but the results arent back until next week also

i have done hpt but they have been bfn's, however my body is known to do the wrong things eg. i couldnt dilate past 3cm when i was in labour with my son, even when they gave me the pessaries etc

im the same re cm, it was white in the run up to when af was due, now just clear occasionally white.

i still have to wait for blood test to be taken, im getting really impatient though!!!

lol i am actually thinking of doing the same, but ive done so many already

with ds i felt like i was coming down with something, i was tired and grotty, i suffered from hyperemises so morning sickness kicked in quickly. also got cramps.

when i was pregnant i had massive aversions to smells, even the smell of my poor dh when he got in from work lol.

i also had a foul taste n my mouth - but more than anything i just kinda knew i was pregnant

this has completely thrown me, as i wasn't even thinking of getting pregnant. i had mplanon out in may, and we agreed that if it happened great, but we werent actually trying. in the days running up to af being due i just got a funny feeling, which i dismissed even though i wondered if it was possible, until af didnt arrive ~ had to see dr for something different and its gone from there really

im with ya hun gosh the wait is too much now!

i actually found hpt in poundland the other day so i thought what the hell nothing to lose! BFN of course!

torturing ourselves i think - god feel like hell right now. concentrating on not puking. if i have gone through this to find out i simply had a virus or a bug i wont be happy lol

i have been sick a couple of times, especially in morning if i smell something bad lol.

im worried that my mind is playig tricks, perhaps my bras dont fit after xmas celebrations

perhaps lack of period is stress

perhaps nausea ad sickness is the bug that has been doing the rounds in the office

and the tiredness cos im a lazy cow lol

as for the cm i dread to think pmsl

i amtrying to resist the urge to get a test from the shops - they r calling me again lol

hahahaha ok so now were in rehab and sharing our problems in an attempt to come out of the denial of perhaps phantom pg symptoms

my nausea and food aversions was due to umm....hmmm il come back to that one

my back pain is due to...(never had this so cant explain that one)...again il come back to that one

tiredness erm yeh il go with the same as yours!

the weird pulling type cramping stretching weird goings on is due to ovulation rolls eyes

the bleed wasnt implantation it was just an early AF due to stress....

dizzyness is from standing up to quickly and a weird dream of me having a baby is due to eating cheese before bed....LOL

thats my story and im sticking to it....i just find it terrible convenient it all happening right after DTD!

the erratic emotions is due to being a soppy mare

and the sensitive sense of smell....hmmmmm....not sure, perhaps its because for once i dont have a cold lol

lol lets wait - although i do need to return something to tesco and i am craving a choccy fudge cake mmmm

oh yess the emotions gosh the emotions i have been crying and maury, crying and one born every minute even crying to the taio cruz album yesterday how sad!

i dont know maybe its just AF bein a super cow!
