ttc after erpc - do i really have to wait so long?

Just had erpc (literally - I'm sat here still in my gown and paper pants.

Doc has just said I need to wait three months to try again.
I'm almost as said about this as about the miscarriage.
There will already be a longer gap than I'd have liked
between ds and any new baby, and I thought the advice was
one cycle.

Anyone know why this is or had different advice? 3
months seems mad when conceiving can take such a long
time.

Eggy I haven't had an ERPC (I had natural MC) but the advice seems to vary wildly and unless there are specific circumstances, three months seems to be a rather conservative recommendation these days. Others may be able to offer more advice shortly. If you want to pose the question to a lovely bunch of ladies with similar experiences there a great TTC after MC thread here.

Three months used to be the standard advice but this has been changed to wait until you have had a period and try again. you can try as soon as you feel ready.
