Cycles/conception after Mirena

Hiya.

Just after some experiences from others really.
My coil came out (was removed by me)[bblush] on Saturday and the withdrawal bleed started in earnest yesterday. This has been a bit of a shock to the system as I haven't had a period in almost the 8 years I was using the Mirena.

Any of you lovely ladies have experience of cycles returning to normal post Mirena?
And also should I skip this month and not even TTC??
Was wondering if it would be better for my body to just settle down again before it tried to support a pregnancy.

Its been a while since I have done this...hope I remember how [bgrin]

Hi

Got a bfp around 6 or 7 weeks after mine was removed. [bsmile]

Thanks MollysChambers

Might just have to have a stab at it then and see what happens [bgrin]

I got a bfp 4 weeks after the mirena was removed, without having a withdrawal bleed. Am currently 16 weeks pg :) I think fertility returns almost immediately so there's no need to wait, but if you have a proper period it can help with dating until the first scan.

Good luck!

Oh wow.....Congrats squirrel007 and thanks.
I am hoping to jump straight back into my old cycle so that's really encouraging.
