Have posted on the weight loss club board but I thought I'd copy it here too.

Had been slowly losing weight (1lb a week) last year, but enthusiasm waned a bit over Xmas (no surprises there then!). Following a pregnancy 'scare' and a BFN yesterday, DH and I have decided that actually maybe we do want another baby Shock

So we've set ourselves a few targets, one of which is for me to lose 2st, by June. This will mean I am officially no longer obese, yay...

I've had two healthy babies, and was overweight during both of them. I really want to get fitter as the second pregnancy was just awful. I may have had GD as well, had the Lucozade test at 28wks which was negative, but then DS was nearly 12lbs at birth so they said maybe I'd developed it later. I really don't want to risk getting that, or being too unfit for a vaginal birth (I'm scared if they know how big DS was they won't even let me try!)

Sorry, waffling. As I said, enthusiasm has been seriously flagging but the idea that maybe we could have a third child will spur me on.

Anyone else? :)

Wow good on you! 12lb baby!!!! Wow.
I am currently TTC and my BMI is around 30. Probably have about 2 stone to lose myself. Am working on the weight loss - go to Curves gym and do their weight management programme which is really good. (So far have lost about 1 stone). I will join your quest!

:) will this be your first baby?

I can't afford any form of gym membership sadly. I might ask the doctor about a referral though, there's an active life scheme where you get very cheap sessions. Maybe I should get that sorted while DH is off work (waiting for an operation)

Other than that my plan consists of walking to and from nursery, that's about 4 miles a day. I also downloaded a pedometer app on my iPhone. We cook pretty healthily but I need to cut down on snacking.

Yeah it's our first. Def worth doing the active 4 life, my gym offered it and it was a massive success. I actually got involved (they had members taking part in an 8 week challenge).
I've had a great start to the day, am off sick and had hairbo for breakfast....Wink

Hi

I too am trying to lose weight by June - 2 stone is the figure I've put on it. Am getting married mid-June but we have also bee ttc forever - gynae just looked at me and said he didn't think our problems were weight related - very scientific!

I don't think that shaving myself down into the "healthy" weight bracket will do any harm whatsoever Grin
