staceym11 · 12/10/2005 20:42

only a month! but i so impatient, dd was a happy accident at 17 so im really no used to all this ttc lark, now i 18 and want another, what a fool i am!!!

jeni03 · 12/10/2005 20:45

not a fool just very brave
My dd was a happy surprise after trying for 2 weeks so TTC is new to me. I was 19 when Kiana was born but she is nearly 6 so getting worried about age gap

staceym11 · 12/10/2005 20:51

that shouldnt be a problem, my dh and his kid sister had 5yrs between them and are really close, the rest of his brothers and sisters are 2 yrs between each (theres 5 of them + him) and none of them really get on (could be coz theres so goddamn many of them!)

anyway will stop rambling, where you live then? (sorry being nosy) i love the name kiana, my cousins daughter is called Kieanna shes just turned 4, so cute, wanted to call dd Kezziah but dh wouldnt let me (spoilsport!)

homemama · 12/10/2005 20:54

We tried for Ds one drunken night wwilst thinking it would be cute.
2 wks later.....blue line

jeni03 · 12/10/2005 20:58

I live in Plymouth

I'm hoping the age difference won't be too bad as i think Kiana will take on the role of 2nd mummy!!
If anything she'll take over and i'll not get a look in! bossy little madam

where do u live?

jeni03 · 12/10/2005 21:00

homemama thats exactly what happened with our dd, she was concieved after a very drunken night out. That's one NOT to tell the grandkids

staceym11 · 12/10/2005 21:05

nr croydon in surrey, still living with my parents at the moment as was still at college when fell with dd, but will be moving out early next year so hoepfully will have bump to look fwd to too!

jeni03 · 12/10/2005 21:13

although i have been trying TTC for 10 months i have only just started actively helping it along, sort of just thought it would happen by itself but when it got to 9 months realised it wasn't.
I've started taking zinc and selenium(sp?) and last month used clearblue ov kit

Any useful tips??

staceym11 · 12/10/2005 21:28

not from here, we just not using contraception and doing lots of bding, hopefully as i only 18 and obv quite fertile (was on pill and using condoms when i concieved dd) it should happen quite quickly.

am also quite convinced just had an early m/c (oh sorry miscarrige) as was almost a week late, had had a +ve test then did two which were -ve and then bled very heavily and with a bit of pain (dont usually have painful af) for nearly a week (af is usually about 2 days) so just keeping fingers crossed for next month!!!

jeni03 · 12/10/2005 21:35

sorry to hear that, i am fortunate enough not to have experienced a m/c.
if u concieved on the pill and with a condom i'm sure it won't take u long!!

homemama · 12/10/2005 21:35

Gosh Stacey, you're brave doing it all so young. Even when I hit 30, I still thought I was too young to start. Maybe that's why #2 is taking a few months, although DH is 10yrs younger so his swimmers should still be strong!

jeni03 · 12/10/2005 21:39

my dh is 10 years older so maybe i should trade him in for a toyboy

staceym11 · 12/10/2005 21:41

as i said not brave just a fool! lol i love my dd to bits and think iv done well, dh is brilliant with her and now we want to complete the family. when they are at school i will go to uni to be a midwife and that will fuel my urge for babies! lol

jeni03 · 12/10/2005 21:42

i'm a student midwife!!

staceym11 · 12/10/2005 21:44

lol great minds think alike! was gunna start sept 06 but then would be best to put off ttc till after which would be 4 yrs so decided to put uni off instead! lol

homemama · 12/10/2005 21:44

Great! As long as you both don't become mean midwives!!!!! They know who they are - telling you off in labour.

OP posts:
staceym11 · 12/10/2005 21:46

i got told off for swearing (only did it once) but other than that midwife was great, other than the fact she didnt keep her end of the bargain (i told her she could keep the baby if she took the pain away, and she didnt but still wanted the baby! lol)

jeni03 · 12/10/2005 21:47

it is the most fantastic job in the world but very tough, i'm on a year out after getting glandularfever. Doctor said it was due to course being so intense plus looking after kiana, i just got too run down. Don't want to put u off!!!
I am in 2nd year and have 11 personal deliveries to date....fantastic experience

jeni03 · 12/10/2005 21:48

definately not a meanie....cried at all 11 deliveries

staceym11 · 12/10/2005 21:49

dont think anyone would put me off! lol! anyway going bed nun night, good luck girlies! see you soon!

jeni03 · 12/10/2005 21:51
