OK this might be a silly question and not the right topic to put it in but..

We are TTC#2 and it looks like I will be ovulating when I am booked in for a smear test. (I had one last year so not out of date) Will the smear test infer with my ovulation or do something to the lining of the womb which will change the enviroment in my cervix?

I don't think i will have any effect at all, probably just ask the nurse when you go to have it to be on the safe side. Good luck ttc Smile

Reschedule your smear. Assuming if you're ttc that you will be having sex around that time. If there is semen around your cervix it can result in a false positive/unclear smear. You should try to avoid sex at least 24 hours before a smear, which isn't something you want around ovulation when you're ttc.

Thanks Darlene I will reschedule tomorrow.
