Can high LH levels indicate anything other than ovulation?
Thanks

Yes, it may be indicative of polycystic ovaries if done in the early stages of your cycle.

Progesterone is the hormone that confirms ovulation, not LH. The LH surge should trigger ovulation, but it is possible to have an LH surge and be anovulatory.

What about at the end of a very long cycle?

For the test to mean anything it really has to be conducted at the correct time in your cycle.

The results also need to be compared to the specific normal range reference values for the method of testing used by the laboratory that has undertaken them. This is normally supplied to the GP with your results. The lab does normally provide sets of normal range reference values that would be expected at different points in your cycle.

If you are concerned, you really need to have a chat to your GP. It may be that what appears to be high, is actually within normal range.
