Sorry if this is too descriptive.
I've always been really regular with my periods, lasting 5 days (3 days heavy, two tailoring off) but last month things went odd. We started ttc #2 in December. Period began Saturday before Christmas and ended 8 days later after being really, really heavy.
This month I was due on Saturday (15 Jan). But on Tuesday I noticed brown (old) blood in my discharge - like at the end of a period). I used a pantyliner but only saw a little bit more. Then, Wednesday, it was still brown until mid morning. I went to the loo and on the toilet tissue I noticed a kind of mucus with bright red blood (just a bit), so figured, okay, period's begun. Still not heavy enough for a tampon I used a towel but no more blood was to be seen. Brown stuff returned later that day and now there's no sign of blood, red or brown.
I went down with flu on Sunday and am only just feeling human now so may have an affect.(?)
Could I be pregnant? Any idea's what's going on?
