Slink

I would ask first off what your periods are like. If they are irregular in nature then it is very little point in trying persona.

Your ultrasound scan is being done to assess the state of your uterine cavity and ovaries. Your blood tests are being done to check for any hormonal problems which prevent ovulation. The day syou have been given are pretty much standard for this type of test.

Your DH should be tested as well as he was last checked 4 years ago.

hello slink, we never did cross paths at an ealing meet. Good luck with the tests. I have been only trying from 4 months and am a raging psycho.

meerkats you always seem so knoweledgable about these things are you in the profession or just been through the mill yourself? Were you the one that said temping wasn't that reliable? I have been using clearblue digital opks in my last failed attempt and got a +ve but am toying with the idea of getting a temp kit too. Am going to the drs as well.

Hi Slink, at least you are getting somewhere now & having all the right tests. I am in a similar position - on cycle 12 ttc no. 2. DD is 4.5. Have had day 3 & 21 bloods done & the 21 day test revealed a very low progesterone level. Have doc appointment next week to get results of day 3 + repeat day 21 test. Meanwhile, he has referred me to fertility consultant as my prog was so low. Am currently awaiting my first appointment.

One positive thing is that you & I have both had successful pregnancies so know our bodies can carry a pregnancy to term - it's just getting pregnant that's the issue. I guess this is a better position to be in than someone who has never had a child. Anyway, good luck with the rest of your tests & keep us posted.

In answer to your question its through the mill and out the other side. I had a successful outcome to my various gynae problems and am now a parent to a soon to be 7 year old!.

Temping and the like are not much help if your periods are irregular in nature.

ionaming,

Good luck with your repeat test results next week. WOuld just say pay particular attention to your Day 3 levels of LH and FSH and ensure that these two levels are compared against each other. Am glad to see that GP had prescnece of mind to refer you.

jane313 · 05/10/2005 21:54

thats great you had a happy outcome. Even if I never have another child I feel Ive learned a ton about my body I never knew.

Ionaming good luck with the tests.

My periods are pretty regular, 24-31 days but mainly 26 & 27. But am under a lot of stress (trying to sell house, part of my family sort of falling apart) so am sure that is a factor. Have no idea how to destress, go to gym but doesn't relaly help. Alcohol is better!

I have just beent o the drs and she sent me for some blood test but she said it was day 5-10 and day 21. Not day 3.

Slonk my mum was rh neg and there was 5 years between me and my brother but I think that was through choice as he was a bit of a terror.
