Well, pretty much as the title says!

Been TTC for a year, have PCOS and UC, just wondering if anyone has any experience of getting pregnant with UC?

Thanks!

Hi, me too. Had UC/Crohns Colitis for about 8 year. Conceived DS no worries but had massive flare after he was born resulting in a months hospitalisation but have been pretty much fine since. Am curently on Aza and Pentasa and having SWI whilst decreasing dose of Aza. Hate taking the Pentasa so hardly ever do Blush.
Had psychotic reaction to pred last flare so won't be taking that again!

Have you tried mezavant xl? Its the only thing that has worked for me

Katyrah · 13/01/2011 12:33

Hi All,

I saw this post and thought I would add my concerns. I was diagnosed with UC ten years ago when I was 19. It was quite severe and I tried pentasa, azacol and was ultimately prescribed aziathioprine. When I was about 24 I sought some natural medical advice and didn't suffer any UC symptos for 5 years. I recently got married and me and DH are now TTC, but I have been experiencing a relapse for the last 3 months and nothing is happening baby wise. My periods have been quite irregular since I came off the pill six months ago, I am currently on day 49 of my cycle with BFN two days ago and I'm very concerned it's the UC causing this. I had a MMC two years ago (PG by accident hence only TTC for 6 months). I'm concerned the medicine's I have taken in the past etc are now causing me trouble TTC. I'm trying to control the relapse with my diet and more natural medicines as I don't want to risk the steriods and pentasa when TTC.

Does it sound familiar to anyone?
