clearblue digital FACT or FAKE please help xxx

hi i went for a ealy pregnancy scan today and the doctors say im 6 weeks pregnant but they couldn see anything in the uterus! i took a clearblue digital last saturday and it said im 1-2 weeks and took another today and still it said 1-2 weeks . had to have scan today because i had key hole surgery on thursday night so they had to check everything was ok!im just worried sick that it could have harmed the baby.....
when i had my op they said they could see baby and my uterus looked healthy for the gest i was!.....i havent had any bleeding or cramps and still having terrible morning sickness....i suppose the clear blue tells u when conception was right?? so if i took one last saturday and it said i was 1-2 weeks and today still said i was 1-2 weeks maybe i was only one week after conception and today am 2 weeks into conception!.......OMG im driving myself mad

I don't see what the dilemma is? A scan will be more accurate than a pee stick.WHy did they go ahead with the surgery if they knew you were pregnant?

That sounds about right.

AFAIK those clear blue tests don't work on gestational age so what a Dr would call 6 weeks pregnant is what a clearblue test would call 2 weeks pregnant (or 1-2 weeks anyway).

So yes, you probably tested just after the embryo implanted at 1+ weeks and now you're probably 2+ weeks.

they were worried it could be an ectopic so had to go ahead with the operation but it was cysts on my overies which had ruptured...xx

I don't understand how they could possibly have seen the baby on thursday if they didn't scan you then too?

because i had keyhole surgery which they put a camera inside my stomach and get up close to my uterus.....im just worrying as i took a cb digital last week and it said 1-2 weeks and took one today and it still said 1-2 weeks are my hcg lvls not increasing as they should be??...the did a ultrasound scan on thursday befor my op and couldn see anything as im still very early and same today with the vaginal scan!

The doctors say you are 6 weeks pregnant as they go from the first day of your last period - which will be what you use when they predict your due date. The clearblue test goes on the last date from ovulation so you are more than likely around 3-4 weeks but because of date of last period - 6 weeks x

Parkesgirl - if you have a search through threads on this subject, you'll see that there have been quite a few women worried that their CBD stays on 1-2 weeks, for example, when they know they are further along. It happened to me, and the one year old result has just gone to the shops with her father. Normal HCG ranges in early pregnancy are very broad and overlap, so it is had for CBDs to be fully accurate.

Of course, there is no way of telling that a pregnancy will be ok and go to term, but I would certainly try not to get worried on the basis of what the CBD says.

Slightytubbyhali- i o 2 of these cbd a day for the last9 days and still 1-2 weeks. Im worrid because iv had 5 misscarages in 2 years, with my previous partner.
Also the doc did a test and she said it was negative straight away , but iv done every test going all still say positive .
how long did yours stay on 1-2?

I can't remember tbh. When did the doc do a test? Can you get her to do a blood test?

I know it is terribly hard but if you can, try to stop testing. If you're going to miscarry it will unfortunately happen no matter what and lots of testing isn't going to diagnose a miscarriage or confirm things are going to be fine. Sometimes I think these things cause more trouble than they are worth. As my mother always says, in the old days you wouldn't know you were pregnant for sure until 7 or 8 weeks, and by then lots of women would have miscarried and called it a late period. I think things were probably easier then...

I really hope it works out for you but if you do miscarry can you be referred to a miscarriage clinic? The docs there might be able to get to the bottom of this for you.

I started writing a reply and then realised a week has elapsed. Have you tested again on the digital? Has it gone up? Perhaps you can get referred to the EPU who will do sequential HCG tests to see if the level is rising, and will scan for a heartbeat between 6 and 7 weeks.

In my experience the digital tests do go up over time but sometimes a little out of synch from when you did conceive. I know its not what you want to hear but when I had a chemical pregnancy it stayed at 1-2 weeks and then I started bleeding. Its horrible but just one of those unfortunate things that happens, and happens quite often in this game. Some people are lucky enough to conceive early and have a smooth and painless path to motherhood whilst others of us suffer some setbacks and sadness along the way; I really hope its all gone ok with you but if not remember you are not alone and there are lots of ladies here to support you and you just have to keep having faith (not in god or anything, just in general!) that one day it will happen for you.

Test came back from lab a faint positive , htey want me to re test 2moz , what such hard bloody work Birmingham uni labs are

hiya ladies...i have retested and it said on friday nite i was 2-3 weeks pregnant and on saturday morning still said i was 2-3 weeks....the docs have said i have mc but why does the cb digi still keep rising i still have symptoms my breats are still very sore and im still bein sick in the morning....xxx

Hi hun last year i went for a early scan and there was just an empty sac with hormones in. They wanted to do a D N C on me but i refused and waited 2 weeks until i bled naturally.I have had 5 MC in 2 years.

Today iv been feeling pain in my left hand side but it's not an ectopic. they told me that the sack is in the right place and can't see any think yet . they date me as only 5 weeks, i have to go back in 2 days.

As for my digi test it says 1-2 so im worried yet if my sac was 5 weeks my test should be on 2-3
I really know what your going through.

got 2nd blood test today

maybe clear blue was right with 1-2 weeks on my test because today i misscaried again 6 times now :-( ,

awww hun im so sorry your going through this i had a mc yesterday aswel....its so hard me and my dh lit a candle and said our goodbyes...we are gonna start ttc again asap!

my test now says 3+ im baffled

mine did this park i was told i had mc on a tuesday and the following friday i took clear blue digi and it said i was 2-3 weeks but its just the hormones still in your body i then had a full mc 5 days later... sorry hun xxxx

Hi my levels still raised every 2 days but slowly. I had a fair few scans they still couldn't see the baby so i was given an injection in to my bottom to end the pregnancy.
I have to go back to have my hcg levels checked again.
