Hi, have been lurking for a while but this is my first thread.

I came off the pill in Nov 2009 but we didnt offically start trying until May 2010 as we were getting married etc but I thought that would be enough time for my cycle to sort itself out.

So it's 8 months later and I'm not pregnant. My periods are regular, I've worked out the best dates etc but still nothing.

Is there anything else I can do to help or do we just have to keep trying?

I'm 34 so worried that my age is against me, how long do you leave it before seeking medical help?

Sorry if this is a bit rambling!

Thanks

Hi Sillyshell,
I think general advice is if you're under 35 wait a year, if you're over 35 wait 6 months before seeking help. That said, I think it varies across the country and even between GP practices. If you're really worried, make an appt with a GP you know is helpful and talk about your worries and hopefully they can either reassure or do tests x
