Beginning of period

I have quite light periods and the first day or two is often just a bloody disharge, do I count this as the beginning of my period or wait until full flow so to speak?! We're trying to conceive DC2 but messed up my dates with DC1 and he was a month early (but I'm not convinced he actually was iyswim) so would like to be a bit better prepared this time around!

I believe it's the first day of red blood no matter how little. Brown doesn't count. However, I'm sure someone better informed will be along soon to either agree or disagree with me (I just didn't want your post to go unanswered).
Good luck. I, too, am ttc dc2 but it's been a long journey and I'm still not there yet! I fell on with ds1 very quickly and easily so thought it'd be the same for dc2 but turns out I was wrong, oh so wrong. Wishing you a fast conception.

Thanks for your reply, I guess then that the last day would be the last day of red blood?
Fingers crossed 2011 is you year.
