Anyone had spotting when period late but have got BFP?

Okay- I'm clutching at straws I fear- and also attemtping to justify using a preggers test. But....bear with me....

Was about to do a test tonight as overdue and just as about to do the deed BUT stopped as there was spotting. So didn't test.

Now, I'm having to fight the urge to test anyway even though I'm gutted.

now I'd like to find out if anyone else got spotting and went on to get a BFP?

Sorry if this all souds totally pathetic and a bit ridiculous. This is the place I am in.

Has the spotting stopped now? Or has it turned into AF? I think sometimes people have had very light spotting and been pregnant e.g. it could be implantation blood, but the blood is literally only a spot and probably brown in colour.

Maybe wait a few more days and test if still no AF.

Nope just light spotting and browny. I think too late for implantation bleed. Hmmmmm.

Just being really stupid and stupid and stupid. Need to face facts.

I think the blood from implantation bleeding can take a while to find it's way out, so not necessarily too late to be implantation blood.

I had a full blown period with DS. Do the test anyway. Put your mind at rest.

I had the same thing and didn't get a bfp until 4 days overdue. Had spotting for 2 weeks before that, was convinced it was the start of af but then it never turned into anything

Just to say thanks for all your replies. I tested that night on 30th and got BFN then i got period today. Happy New Year!

Aww bless New Year new start I say:-), after nearly 2 years of TTC a dc2, I got a BFP this week, new year day last year, I was in the EPU with a MC.
