How long is it likely to take for my periods to return?

I went on cerazette at my 6 week check after having DS3, who will be one in a fortnight. I've never had a proper period since, though i have had breakthrough bleeding on occasion.

Manshape and i have decided that although we aren't going to actively try, if i get pregnant, then that's ok.

So, any idea how long it's likely to be for my body to return to normal?

For me it was quite quick, returned to regular once a month cycle within two months, after about a year on cerazette.
Hoping it doesn't take long for you either. I didn't have baby though so don't know if that and breastfeeding may make a difference.

My friend was on Cerazette for a long time, (about 6 years)and it took her almost a year to get back to normal and conceive.

Hi dee,

I was on Cerazette for 4 years and stopped taking it 28th Feb this year. I bled within about 2 weeks but figured that was random bleeding and not a full period. Thereafter I had decent cycles though they took a few months to settle to a repeatable length. Went like this:

29 day cycle, ov day 19
26 day cycle, ov day 16
23 day cycle, ov day 14
20 week cycle, ov day 12, got pregnant, you know the story.
Then after Bobbie's birth a weird 38 dayer cycle and then this one:
ov day 13, up duff. 6+5 and counting and hoping.

Good luck to you Smile
