very very faint line ??

hi all.
my af is due today,i did a pt and got a very faint thin line.i showed my partner and he saw it but think's it's not a positive cause the line is thin.i got the line after 5 mins.

any ideas?

Repeat the test in 48 hours to confirm the result. Better still, confirm with a digital! Hopefully you will be proven right!

i think you are pg. can confirm by collecting big glass of urine first thing tomorrow morning, then dip pt in it as per instrubtions. i found this gave a more positive result than just weeing on the stick

well iam not pregnant my af came tonight.it must have been a glitch with the test.

thanks to everyone,iam so sorry for wasting your time,i just need to face facts i cant get pregnant

Hi Gina

Have you tried another test despite the AF? You can have implantation bleeding (I did) at any point either before or after your period is expected.

You may also be very early pregnant and bleeding - which is v v common. Sometimes this can be a sign that something is not right or it does not mean anything is wrong.

In either case a very faint line on a test usually means that you are pregnant as false positives are very rare. Even if you think your period has arrived and you are getting negative results, because you have had a faint line it may be a good idea to see your gp who can do blood tests to test your HCG levels to check things are ok.

Faint line still indicates pregancy, just very early on.

gina do you do temping? I had the same thing last week - faint positive line one morning but heavy AF starting the next day. My temps fell the morning of the AF and have stayed low so must have been a chemical pregnancy for me. Why do you think you can't get pregnant? Hope you're doing ok today
