I know this is a question that has been asked many times before (probably), but...

I did a clearblue test (one of those ones where it makes a plus signs.) it showed positive after about a minute, It was faint but it was defnately there. I have weed on so many of those "!*@@ things in the last few months and it was definately not the same as that moment when it passess over the dye and you're willing it to change. This happened after the control line appeared and within the three minute window. Anyway, 20 minutes later I went to get it to show my DH and it was so faint he couldn't see it.

I did the test in the middle of the day. (Silly thing to do, I know) And now I am snowed in and can't go and get another. It's killing me!

So what do you think? Confused

it does sound promising, when is your period due?

KatyCustard · 19/12/2010 00:09

Well, that's a tricky one as my cycle varies from pefect 28 days to 64! I had just had a 28 day cycle, meaning that if this cycle was too then I was due on the 12th. However, I ovulated on the 4th (ish), which would mean I was not actually due on 12th and it's still early days if I did concieve.

You are probably pregnant if you saw the cross. it is likely that you are in the very early days and not a lot of hormone around to make it clear. They say wait a couple of days for a retest anyway to allow more hormones to make it clearer.

BUT aagghhh the wait is agony.

to the shops woman! clearblue digital

nannyl · 19/12/2010 11:01

a very good friend if mine had a tesco test and a clear blue digital

she did the tesco test and got a very feint line.
she then did the clear blue digital to be sure and got a clear NOT pregnant.

a week later she tested again, and clear blue digital said pregnant 3 - 4 weeks.

so even clear blue digital lie, when the tesco one was correct all along!

Well, I did a First Response early this morning and got a BFN. So now I am wondering if my eyes were playing tricks on me on Friday!

I am sure I ovulated around the fourth so surely if I was pregnant it would show up on a First Response by now?

I was so sure, I've been having period type pains for about 10 days, boobs much heavier than with AF, crying at adverts, feeling slightly sick at times. Is it really my body playing a nasty trick!?!?!

Pants and double pants.

aww sorry katy that you got a BFN. Give it a couple of days and test again if still no period.

If you did have 'symptoms' but turned out not to be preggers, you'll be joining the ranks of many of us who've been through the same. No shame in it.

How long have you been trying?

KatyCustard · 21/12/2010 19:07

We've been trying two years in January Sad

I know I'm lucky to have my DD, but I am feeling a bit blue about it today. Thanks for your support guys, it's good to have this forum full of people in the same boat!

Suresign tests are the most sensitive. They dectect HCG levels as low as 10 mIU/ml which can show up as early as 6 dpo. You can buy a pack of 2 in Home Bargains for 99p or they are packaged as Sainsbury's and Asda own brand ones. Failing this email [email protected] or [email protected] to find out where your nearest stockist is. Good luck :)

KatyCustard · 22/12/2010 09:07

Thanks nappyaddict! I just assumed that the sainbury's etc. own brands were not sensitive at all. It goes to show how we can be drawn in by fancy packaging and marketing!
