TTC with very light periods

I am planning to start ttc dc2 in january. dd is nearly two and my periods have been much lighter since i had her. i also had a shorter luteal phase but have been taking B6 and my cycle seems to have lengthened appreciably. but my period still seems very light - one day medium/heavy, one day light flow and one day spotting.

has anybody else had this experience? has having light periods been a problem for anybody, or has it made no difference? my gp is pretty useless on the finer details of reproduction, so no point in going to her.

can I ask what the vitamin b6 does?

Yep, I was the same after coming off of the pill after being on it for 18 years. I had the opposite problem with the luteal phase though as my cycle went to 35 days!

However, conceived DD first month of trying and only 3 months after coming off of the pill, so light periods certainly don't mean that there is a problem.

Good luck!

so far as i understand it, it supports progesterone production. the luteal phase (time between ovulation and period) ought to be over 10 days and preferably over 12, otherwise there might not be time for implantation. low progesterone levels can cause a short luteal phase
