A Question.....

Apologies if this is TMI but this has been bothering me now for just over a year and I've never asked anyone about it and strangely it's never occured to me to ask the doctor, odd since I've seen him about the lack of baby!! I wondered if anyone had any thoughts....

The very first month I came off the pill I was late with AF, very late for me but I didn't think much of it. On about day 35 we woke up early and relaxed and one thing led to another, as it does. After a bit of rolling around we emerged both in a happy daze, I'd had the sort of O that felt like my womb was gearing up for take off, all very nice. About a minute later I started getting horrendous cramps and withing five minutes I was on the floor of the bathroom doubled up in agony pouring sweat for what felt like eternity but was probably only 10 minutes. After that it subsided pretty rapidly, and I think AF started to appear later that day and fully the next.

At the time DH and I really didn't know what to make of it, so we drank some tea and went out for the day, I felt a bit wobbly but that was it. It's never happened again and although I've always gotten curse pains they're the sort that one lot of neurofen knocks out completely, this was like the worst curse pains I've ever had multiplied by a hundred and then some. Looking back I now wonder if I had a chemical pregnancy? Any ideas? Anyone had anything similar?

Sorry for such a long post.

Thank God the central heating has now come on....bloody freezing in my house!!!

I used to have horrible AF pains but they seemed to dull when I was on the pill, came off it in July and first AF pains were much worse. Not terrible but quite painful. Since then the pains are still there around AF but nowhere near as painful.

Maybe you had a similar experience but just much more painful?

A chemical pg wouldn't necessarily give anymore pain. Sounds as if it was merely the first period after pill being a bit of a bugger!

Good luck

Thank you! I've been worrying myself that I did something that caused a problem that first month!!! Indeed, maybe just the pains being a bit of a bugger first time, although when it did come they weren't too bad at all, maybe they burned themselves out the day before......
