If you take nothing else, take folic acid - it helps prevent against spina biffida and other spine defects. Ideally take it for at least a month before starting TTC, but don't stress if you've already started.

I've heard that grapefruit is good for enhancing your fertile mucus, and some people mention zinc (for Mum and Dad) as being helpful too.

Don't take any supplements with vitamin A in, you're not supposed to have too much of that during pregnancy.

Hope this helps!

Don't think there's really anything you can do specifically to have a boy. Try having sex on the day you ovulate.

amandeep, I'm taking the pregnancy supplements from Boots as these have everything in one tablet inc. folic acid.

I had a boy last time and we had sex the day before I ovulated and the day after. According to others on this site that should get you a boy! But, don't think there are any guarantees, as I would like to try for a girl next, although a healthy baby is all we want, in any variety.
