I'm not sure if this is the best place to put this but hey ho, I'll ask anyway.

My current form of protection, is the depo, i unwilling have missed my last injection which was due on the 8th of this month. I have also had sex since then, obviously unprotected, (argh in so many ways) i realise the chances of me actually becoming pregnant are rather slim, but how soon after sex can i test to see if i am pregnant? And on the off chance does anyone know when i can take my next injection??

Please help??

you can test 2 weeks after you ovulated, but I guess in your case, you're not going to know when, and even if, that happened.

I think it is unlikely you are preg as the hormones stay in your system for a while. But I've never had the depo so don't really have any experience of when you can get your next injection, sorry.

Maybe chat to your GP about it.

Will try and get an appointment as soon as possible, the problem is my gp won't give me the depo, and the nurse won't talk to me about my options so I'll have to book a few appointments to sort this mess out, which all completely my fault i realise.

Argh why won't my brain remind me of such things

preg test in 3 weeks. Sperm can live for a week and as GetDown says test can be done 2 weeks afer ovulation. As you wont know if/when ovulation will happen then 3 weeks from now should cover it. (i.e. if you were not to ovulate for another week and sperm could still be suriving then that would be 3 weeks total). Based of course on you using other contraception from now on so that if you ovulate longer away than 1 week there should be no surviving sperm.
