My SIL & I were going to swap! I had a girl & wanted a boy & she had a boy & wanted a girl! Wouldn't swap my DD for the whole world, she is fantastic! :o

I would like a boy next, but I know how fab my DD is, so I wouldn't be disappointed at all. As long as they are healthy I don't care!

nannyl · 04/12/2010 08:46

Morning all

slept well and feel a lot better.

Am currently slightly confused... i have a CLASSIC 'I am pregnant temp chart'

my temp has just gone up and up and up and up, with one little dip the time of implantation.... have been joking the last few days with OH that i have a classic am pg chart but these last few days and today inparticular are making mw wonder.

Realisticly im sure i cant be. Last unprotected sex this cycle was day 8. I OV'd day 15 ish, and im sure i didnt have enough CM to keep any sperm alive

i think i have sorted it so you can see my chart see here

Perhaps its just my cold (that has near enough gone as has caused my temp to rise a bit)

AF due tomo ish and i have no symptoms what so ever.
Have no pg symptoms, (just been tired but im sure that was my cold) although last nigth OH told me my boobs looked bigger, but i think he is imagining that!

Really hope AF arrives as planned, but i'll allow her until Monday as my temp rose 1 day later than normal

AstroZola · 04/12/2010 10:24

Hi all,

Sorry i've been MIA for a few days. Been recovering from concussion.

I went to see my drs Thurs because i can't feel my coil strings and have been getting a lot of discharge (sorry for TMI) and some random pains down there...she couldn't see or feel them either because of all the discharge as i have a vaginal infection...whoo hoo....it just never ends...i'm sick to death of being ill down there...it's just always one thing after another...grr...anyway i have meds and have to see her again on Mon...if she still can't find the strings i'll have to be referred back to gyne and possibly have an ultrasound to locate it...eek...FFS!!

Bebe - i hope you're not feeling too sore...i hope you have lots of lovely painkillers...

Hope everyone else is ok too...there's been such a lot to catch up on here and i'm still feeling the after effects of concussion so can't remember things well...

our snow has stopped for now...it was never that bad anyway...not by me anyway...thank god...i hate the snow...

But we have put a bird feeder in the garden and we have blue tits already...aww

On the baby front: DP was talking to me again about having a baby so i do think he is really thinking about it...BUT he has vetoed all my names...Sad...so i have to think of others...

100years · 04/12/2010 11:44

Nannyl, I don't know enough about charting to know what to think about your chart, other than the fact that you have had a cold which could have caused your temp to stay higher for longer? FWIW my OH said my boobs looked bigger about 1 hour before I had some bleeding!

Astro, take care, had concussion last year after a bike accident and it's not nice. Hope they sort out your coil problem. It's way to early to be thinking baby names and vetoing any names :) , we are actually trying and I wouldn't think of putting a name out there for real, think it's kind of a protection thing though for me as well IYKWIM

Yeah we can hope this next month is the right month for a lot of us. Although I'm feeling so poorly and not wanting anything like that at the moment. Only on CD5 so a while to get better yet. But is it possible to get pg if you don't have sex??? Wink Me being off sex is quite unheard of!

As for grapefruit juice, I can't drink any juices like that, orange, grapefruit, lemon etc, as it gives me a migraine, pineapple juice I can do, so I will have to hope there is enough CM and then drink shit loads of pineapple juice to try and will it on it's way!

Was rudely awoken by some bad coughing last night at 5am - it was my coughing! :( Sorry if this is TMI, but the shit on my chest feels like it's trying to move now, but I'm coughing pretty bad and my chest is making lots of weird noises when just sat quietly. Very interesting even though it's hell on earth atm.

nannyl · 05/12/2010 10:10

Good morning all

We'll my temp dropped this morning to 36.52 Smile
I'll assume that my slight cold made my temps higher than usual, and that i'll have a 29 day cycle this month (which i thought might happen whem my temperature rose 1 day later than normal.

Fingers crossed for AF this evening /tomorrow, and then will be full on TTC this month Grin

this extra day this cycle will mean that if im succesful I'll have a due date of my birthday Smile... and also mean i can be 13 days early and still make September Smile

Am getting out my clear blue fertility monitor that i bought in Augast (although having charted for months I really dont think i need it, but hey ho, i have it so might as well use it)

100years hope you feel a bit better, and Astro hope you recover from concussion. (Have had it twice and really not nice)

Right better get up... have had 2 lie ins in a row (un heard of)Grin (as we fell asleep after reading my temp at 7am) and woke up to the village church bells ringing at 9am.

We got our Xmas tree yesturday, and i made and iced 75 nigella Xmas tree decoration biscuits so i need to thread them all and hang them on the tree.

Happy Sunday.

bebeinamanger · 05/12/2010 11:52

Nannyl - that's good that your temp went back down. On the ff charts you can log if you are ill & it marks it on your chart that the temp might not be reliable. Can you do that on TCOYF?

Hoping to do our tree today. Been to church with DD. Chatted to some lovely old ladies who were doting on DD. Can't wait for Christmas now. :)

Took DD to see Father Christmas yesterday, she was so excited & is obsessed with Father Christmas at the moment. When we got in there she wouldn't go near him! :( Screamed, cried 'I want to go home'! We were very surprised! As we left she said 'that was fun, I love Father Christmas'! Xmas Hmm Toddlers are very funny!

Will be monitoring OV very closely this month, might even use the OV sticks! If I OV within 4-5 days of the 24th I might see if I can convince DH to DTD! Unlikely, but you never know! Xmas Hmm Think I'll stand a better chance in January tbh! But hey, an Oct baby would be lovely! :)

100years · 05/12/2010 17:22

nanny, fingers crossed your AF arrives soon, and you can start SWI properly too.

bebe, bless your DD re the father christmas incident.

Well I'm starting to perk up, the cough is less pronounced than yesterday, feeling real knackered though. Silly hormentals going around, OH mentioned about a friend who he found out is pg and I cried a bit, I'm trying not to, it's stupid, it doesn't help me and it makes me look like I'm not happy for them - which I am.

Went to take him to the train station today as he is having lunch with a friend and drinks with another friend, went out to the car and it was flat, cue me having to get the AA out as I didn't actually think it was a flat battery, it sounded weird, so then I look like a bimbo when bloke says yeah it's a flat battery, he started to say short journeys don't do the battery any good in this weather, and I stopped him, I said OH had done a 3 hour journey in the car yesterday, he checked the car and discovered my gorgeous OH had left the interior light on, great cue me having to go out in the car for a while instead of sitting at home in the warmth. I know I was going to be taking him to the station, but that didn't involve standing outside talking to an AA bloke and coughing my lungs up.

Aw well, I'm just cranky pants, bored, ill and wanting to be all better. Plus I have to tidy the kitchen and I REALLY don't feel like it. :(

bebeinamanger · 06/12/2010 15:38

Hope everyone is ok? It's bloody freezing here today! -6 at 7.30 when I scraped the car & still -4.5 when I got home at 11.30! Freezing fog as well! Not fun :(

No exciting news to report! [fbear]

WYorksLass · 06/12/2010 16:25

Hiya, i'm back!

I've had a fabulous wedding and honeymoon. Everything went really well and we had a great time. Lots of dancing was done and the bar was (literally) drunk dry!

There has also been a great deal of SWI going on :) I reckon i ovulated either yesterday or today so my poor DH Grin can have a rest soon!

I was very sorry to find that there have been no BFP's in my absence, i was conviced there would be.

strawberrypie · 06/12/2010 16:32

Glad to hear you had a good time and everything went to plan wyorks! How exiting to be SWI! Good luck on the dreaded 2WW......you will have christmas preparations to keep you occupied though :)

bebe how did you keep a straight face when your little DD did the dramatic u-turn over Father Christmas?! She is so funny! [fbear]

nannyl · 06/12/2010 18:10

evening all

Yes its freezing Sad minus 8 this morning and i had to deforst my car inside and out. We still ahve loads of snow everywhere, more than enough to build snowmen, and our pavements are lethal!

WYorks, Congrats on being married and pleased to here you had a good honeymoon. Good luck on your 2 WW.

Not much to report here
AF is still not here Sad.... just typical i thought i new my body inside and out, have had text book 28 day cycles every time since coming off pill, but not this month.... its 30 days and counting now.

This really is annoying as i was planning on testing while down with my family at New Year, but assuming AF arrive properly tomorrow i wont be able to test until 4th Jan (assuming next month i have a 28 day cycle, which after this month who knows).... I guess ill have to have a super early test on my last morning (2nd Jan) and hope, but that means ( if im pg) a rush around telling everyone to their face, when actually im trying to start my 5 hour drive home. Also am with all my friends 1st Jan (am) as my and my best friends are having a sleep over NY party, so Id hoped to be able to them then, but i doubt id get a +ve 3 days before AF due. (although ill try regardless)

On the positive side baby will be due another day away from September the 1st allowing me a few more days to be early and not have an Augast baby.

I was thinking i might not need my CBFM, but actually im pleased to have it now.
Of course i'll continue charting and using OPK's.

Also, now the Days to SWI have moved forward a little, which is annoying as OH is running another race on what would be OV day, but should now be 2 days before, and thats not very good for his sperm Sad
Id planned all of our SWI, and it was all working well to start the day i broke up from school and be over the weekend.

Its now moving on to when friends are staying, and the night of OH's Xmas do, the 1 night of the year where he as enough to drink to have a hang over, oh and just after a 15 mile race.... Sad Sad
I guess i need to stop stressing and what will be will be.

Hope everyone else ok.

AmandaCooper · 06/12/2010 19:04

Oh dear nannyl are your temps still high? I hope you have not been impregnated by the power of sod's law!

nannyl · 06/12/2010 19:12

We'll thats another quandry AC

yesturday when i took my temp (half asleep) OH was very interested to know so at 7am on Sunday we turned on the light and im SURE it said 36.5ish (wahoo, temp down Grin)

we then went back to sleep

At 9am or so i was charting, and couldnt remember what it said,,, i turned thermometer on (it shows the last reading) and it said 37.11 Shock i said to OH "what did i say my temp was, and he said "36.5-something" which is what i remembered too so i went with that, but i dont understand why thermometer said 37.11?

This morning it was 36.5.... still above coverline, BUT way down from 36.9 (which was def correct) and 37.11.

I would have to be super unlucky to be pg... after our instances in the summer we have been really really careful...
Either OH's sperm would have to live a couple of days longer than all the books say is possible..
OR we would be in that tiny percentage of people who use condoms properly yet still manage to get pg!

jbells · 06/12/2010 19:22

hello all,

hope everyone is ok i had my 16 wk blood tests today, they checked my urine and found blood and protein so its being sent off.

wud just like to say i had my first embarassing toddler tantrum experience today stupidly took DD the doctors with me, whilst waiting to go in she had a tantrum bcos she wanted to go in the room, she knows there is toys in them, so we got called and she ran in...discovered she didnt like the toys so shouted and screamed and was pulling me to the door and trying to open it, in the mean time they were having teouble finding a vein, i was mortified and then to top it off once we were leaving, we walked out and in from of a waiting room full of people she threw herself on the floor and started screaming i didnt know where to look i was not impressed lol ( y am i having another one hehe)

and to top it off never got to here the heartbeat as DD was playing up so much they didnt even offer very sad about this

nannyl- do u think u will test if AF hasnt turned up in nxt couple of days?

wyorks- glad u had a lovely wedding hope your 2ww doesnt drive u mad :)

bebe-it is around the same temp here but we have snow now to :( im not impressed the roads and pavements r so dangerous and i hate being stuck in

100years- glad u r starting to feel better now, hopefully u r on the mend

waves to everyone, im asking geoge to prepare hotchocolate with marshmallows and hot water bottles :)

AstroZola · 06/12/2010 19:59

My Dr found my coiol strings...Yippee...and no infection...yippee!
Apparently the strings are VERY tiny...phew though!!!
She wants me to have it checked every year! I said that hopefully it'll be coming out next year! Grin...

WYorks - that sounds great! Glad you're SWI...wish i was...must be patient though...i hope it's the result you want...xxx

AmandaCooper · 06/12/2010 20:44

Nannyl that sounds absolutely just as you'd expect by 9am after additional sleep. My temp always goes up by about a degree between normal testing time and an hour or so more sleep later. Even if it's still high, you haven't had 18 high temps in a row yet - and you were super careful.

Astro well done your dr! Hang in there with the waiting. It'll pass before you know it... So they say!

AmandaCooper · 06/12/2010 20:48

WYorks glad you had a great time and it all went to plan. How exciting that you're married and trying for a baby!!! When would you be testing?

nannyl · 06/12/2010 20:48

AC.. i didnt re take my temp, that was the temp my thermometer said the last temp was, ie at 7am

(when i turn it on it tells me the last temo until i take it again, so i can check all day if i want!)

as for pg testing i'll give it another couple of days i think as realistically i dont see how i can be pg!

AmandaCooper · 06/12/2010 21:26

Oh right, I did think it was a bit odd! Stop worrying though, silly, you definitely won't be!

bebeinamanger · 06/12/2010 21:37

WYorks - So glad the snow didn't ruin things & that you had a brilliant day! :) Exciting to be on your 2ww!

Strawberry - I was too busy trying not to throttle her!! Wink Little bugger keeps asking to go see him again! Hmm

Astro - Yay, clever doctor! Wink

JBells - Aren't toddlers great?! Hmm Such a nightmare. I've taken to always strapping DD into her pushchair if I have to take her with me to the doctors! Hope the protein & blood turns out to be nothing :)

Nannyl - Worrying yourself isn't going to help. Stress can be a factor on delaying AF. Maybe all the preparation has thrown things 'off'. I'm sure it does mess with my cycles a bit. Things have been so all over the place lately & I'm certain stress is a factor. But then again maybe you are PG & it's the lucky train at work again! Wink

Still nothing new to report here! Still bloody cold, and still plodding on taking my vitamins! Hmm

100years · 07/12/2010 10:40

Welcome back WYorksLass, should we be calling you WYorksMrs now??? Congrats :) hope your 2WW is OK.

nanny, my OH runs a lot too, in training for a couple of marathons, does this mean his swimmers aren't as good after a run? Is this another thing for me to worry about?

jbells, hope the protein and blood comes to nothing, wow 16 weeks :)

That's great Astro, have in the past had a lost strings incidents, didn't help that I was stressing about it, but yes you should be checked every year by the doc.

Well I'm starting to feel more human, although I'm full of snot in my nose, not to blos, just feel really congested in my nasal passages. The chest is feeling a lot better and have had a full nights sleep with no disturbance from a cough which is good. I either have to book fit for work tomorrow or go to the docs and get a sick note. I don't think I'm quite poorly enough for a sick note, but I don't feel quite well enough to work! Must admit to being worried that I'm not fully better and as soon as I go back to work I'll be poorly again, and I really don't need that on my sick record. I suppose you can't live like that though and just got to take that risk.

Bloody freezing here, loads of ice around, glad I don't have to go out today :)

WYorksLass · 07/12/2010 12:31

jbells, i hope your test results come back ok.

100 years, i'm glad you're feeling better. Maybe you should go to the doc and see what they say about being fit for work or not. It's not worth pushing it and making yourself ill again.

AC, AF is due around 20/21st December so i'll try not to test before then. A BFP would be the best christmas pressie ever :)

AmandaCooper · 07/12/2010 13:14

I hope you get one, we must be due another!

nannyl · 07/12/2010 17:04

Evening all

hoorary Tuesday is over (Tueasday is the day of the week that i dread)
Well AF has finally arrived Smile so can now start couting days and working cycle out etc

100 years, im sure ive read somewhere that long distance running is not great for sperm, but cant remember exactly where, but have definitley read it. So pleased to here you are finally starting to feel better Smile

WYorks, good luck with your 2ww, im dreading mine although at least ill have all the Xmas stuff to take my mind off it a bit.

bebeinamanger · 07/12/2010 18:36

Re the running, maybe it's a friction generating heat thing in the...erm...lower regions! Hmm

Glad AF arrived for you, all exciting now! We will all be waiting with breath that is bated for your BFP! Wink
