Second interview was yesterday evening. Very gruelling and two hours long. DH thinks the length is a good sign as it was pretty late by the time we finished, but I don't know. I'll just have to cross everything I've got and wait.

Off to visit my friend and her little DD and bump this morning - can't wait!

I am a bit fed up :( have been working long hours this week and with it taking so long to get to and from work have not had much spare time- I have also got OHs mum and auntie coming to stay this weekend and still need to clean the house and do the shopping! Maybe we will be snowed in and thay won't be able to get here?

Do you have much snow? We had some the other day but it all disappeared by the end of the day & now we have none, and none forecast, but temperatures are predicted to get down to -10 here tonight! Xmas Shock

Hey,

Just very quickly posting before I go to sleep again, still feeling rotten, thought I would be feeling better today but spent the night with a fever and the chills so I went to the docs this morning, been prescribed heavy duty antibiotics for a throat infection and start of a chest infection, temp was 38 when I was at the docs given I have been living on paracetamol all week and had had some only an hour before I went.

Booked sick from work, going to take a few days off and hopefully be rid of this soon.

Hope everyone else is OK.

we have plenty of snow but the main roads are passable at the moment. It was snowing very lightly this morning but more forecast for during the day. Like where you are the temps here are going to go very low tonight so will poss have some black ice tomorrow Xmas Sad

the relatives are coming from Southport where the snow has not been as bad. The plan is to go to the xmas markets in Manchester on Saturday. I have a half day today so will just have to knuckle down to the cleaning and tidying!

Am snowed in for a 3rd day in a row and really fed up with it now.. and no sign of a thaw yet Sad we must have at least 40cm now, and our cul-de-sac is ungritted / un ploughed and on a hill so no way can my car get back up Sad
Thankfully last night Ocado made it see here which was great. The poor guy had to walk up the road to our house but he made it. Have emailed them this morning to say thanks.

I think im also starting to get a cold. Feeling a bit rubbish and sorry for myself. Have not got dressed today (and dont intend to). Its not a bad cold but my eyes are streaming, i keep sneezing and im tired (so relieved to have a much needed day at home!)

Had planned to wrap all my presents and do ironing make mince pies plus do some cooking and sort my baking cupboard.
Actually i have made my braised cabbage to freeze for Xmas day, a lamb tagine for tonight, and now ive come back to bed, hoping to sleep myself better.
Ironing and present wrapping can wait.

Hope everyone else is ok in this snow and its not causing too many issues!

Feeling positive today, not sure why Xmas Confused Maybe it is because I am feeling festive! Finished all of my present shopping now. Have my wreath & mistletoe up & just threaded some popcorn with DD (who mostly ate popcorn rather than threading it!) Taking DD to see Father Christmas tomorrow morning, and to a children's pottery workshop to decorate an ornament. I am very excited! Xmas Grin Plus DH is coming with us, so will be really nice!

Still no snow here, absolutely bloody freezing though! Dreading next quarter's gas bill!

DD is very poorly sick woke up to a cot full of sick this morning, and have been scrubbing sick out of carpets etc thru out the day,really hope she feels better soon and that i dont catch it :(

Scary prospect having to put things on hold Xmas Confused can you not do your PGCE pt if you were PG, or defer your place for a year?

I'm fighting a cold, have had a sore throat for a couple of days. Body has gone into overdrive again & I'm super tired :( Pelvis/hip feels like it's falling apart as well which sucks! Trying to take it easy & avoid a relapse Xmas Hmm

Good evening all

well i had 2 hours sleep yesturday afternoon and then 9 hours sleep last night and feel much much better today.
Maybe all this grapefruit juice ive been drinking has helped? who knows

Unfortunatley our school was open (at normal time) so I went to work, but we only had 12 children in our class so it was fun easy day, that went quick.
Also for some reason today my collegues all started to tell me i would make an amazing teacher and should go into teacher training. Was trying to explain (without being to obviouse) that it was my life plan to be a stay at home mummy, but both collegues were adament i should train before children so i can come back to it.
As much as i would love to teach (Only spent a term and half in a school so far) i know its not what i want to do right now. (I see how hard the teachers work, and i really dont want to work all the hours god sends in term time!)

jbells so sorry to here DD is poorly Sad hope she gets better very soon

Me and OH have had a nice evening.. we have walked to the village to watch the Xmas lights turn on (which was very Xmas-y in the thick snow!) and i have just baked some nigella choc chip cookies from her new book. Yum.
Our friends who were supposed to come and stay this weekend sadly have not risked it Sad although as she is pg and the journey is 5 hours on a good day i dont blame them... a few showers of snow could have added hours and hours onto the journey.

Oh well, what will be will be and we will see them at new year instead, and they can come and stay in the new year.

Still ill, Bored now. Feel queasy from the antibiotics, knackered and home alone as OH has gone away for the night. Will be in bed early tonight, think it'll be QI then bed for me.

What is the grapefruit juice supposed to do? I see it mentioned on lots of the TTC threads!

bebe grapefruit juice is supposed to make CM more sperm friendly

you are supposed to only drink it until ovualtion (then move onto pineapple juice to aid implantation), but i thought id start grapefruit juice a bit earlier as there is nothing to implant this month!

Yes Nigella's book is lovely (and i can highly recommend those choc chip cookies, they are very yummy and nearly all gone)

Not impressed... we have more snow snowing now and my car is thick in snow again.
Really fed up with it now, though on the positive side, after tonight, no more snow forecast until Monday... also no temperatures above freezing either [hmmm]

100years really hope you feel better soon. I prescribe as much sleep as possible Wink

Interesting about the juice, although presumeably it will make it all a bit acidic Confused Not good for the boy sperms Hmm Plus it eats into my calorie allowance! :o Does eating grapefruits have the same effect I wonder?

ohhh like the idea of killing the boys and leaving the girl sperm... i really really really want a girl 1st, just cause i really want a girl,

although i'd rather have a boy followed by a girl (as oppsoed to the girl followed by boy) so if i have a boy ill still be happy...

but i really would like a girl

Hi everyone! Sounds like we're gearing up for a masse assault next month. Hope it's a lucky one and everyone falls pg immediately without further ado! I am officially out of the running until I have the results of my interview. If I get the job I reckon it will be a while yet before I ttc. Supposedly I find out whether I get to the next round in yet another two weeks. Can't even symptom spot!
