wow bebe that cake is brill- maybe u shud start charging people to make them for birthdays and stuff :)

Quodlibet · 16/01/2011 16:29

AWESOME cake! It's a total work of art.

MrsS, we weren't playing articulate (which is my favourite game I think) cos they have a new one called Pandemic, which is all about saving the world from outbreaks of disease! Really complicated rules but quite fun when you get into it.

Right, got to get off MN - I'm working this afternoon as I have the world's most horrendous couple of weeks lined up work-wise: I am working all weekends and nearly every evening from now until 9 Feb, with no days off and an impossible set of deadlines and then a new show opening. Not quite sure how I'm going to cope to be honest, but as usual everything has come up at once. Aggghhh! I just want to run away!

strawberrypie · 16/01/2011 19:11

New show quod? What to you do? Sounds interesting!

The cake is fab Bebe! You must have the patience of a saint- did DH like it? Did you manage to.....erm....get some time alone? Wink Blush

Nannyl you will be the first person I come to with any equipment questions- you know everything!

nannyl · 16/01/2011 19:30

Hello all!

LOL... i have always had an obsession with anything 'baby'... probably why i ended up nannying... meant i could try out and experiment with baby stuff all the time.

Had lots of nanny friends so have used so much baby stuff, and as a result i have strong views about things i WILL have for mine and also things i wont bother with Smile

Well my midwife appt was not really that exciting...
I have a HOME visit at 9 weeks (no idea why but thats how it is)
scan booked for 11+6 (28 Feb)... cant wait Smile
will see midwife at 15 weeks
scan 20 weeks
midwife 21 weeks, 28 weeks, 31 weeks, 34 weeks, 36 weeks, 38 weeks, and 40 weeks

Only at 36 weeks will the decision be made if i can have a home birth but so long as i have an uncomplicated pregnancy i can Smile

I think morning sickness has finally kicked in Sad. Felt like death until about 11am.
Survived (just) on those nairns ginger oat biscuits and some bottle green lemon and ginger cordial. (i think bebe it was you that recommended that so thanks, i got some from Ocado just in case and pleased i did)

Not got dressed all day today and had a morning and an afternoon nap.
Cooked roast dinner and finished off my ironing.

Also made OH get my washable nappy collection out of the lost so have been playing with those!

Bebe that cake is amazing! you are so talented Smile hope broadband gets sorted soon

Mrs good luck with OV tests... dont be disheartened if you dont get a +ve... some people only get a strong +ve for a few hours so its possible to miss it. Have fun SWI [sink]

squirrel have fun mat clothe shopping. Have to say having looked in mother care and online on newlook and a few other places i am so disappointed at the lack of colour... everything (except jeans) seems beige / white / grey / black. I wear loads of pink / blue and can hardly find anything... think ill be resorting to ebay bundles cause people seem to have pink stuff in there!

WW / JS good luck on 2 week wait

waves to anyone ive missed

MrsSatsuma · 16/01/2011 19:54

Ooh nannyl you have just made me slightly more hopeful - I didn't realise sometimes the +ve only lasts a few hours. Did another test today and the line is barely there again, when it was quite strong last night, so I was a bit confused as to whether I have actually ovulated or not. Am hoping the... ahem... weekend wakeup calls have done the trick... Basal thermometer chart is telling me nowt as it seems to go up and down all over the place!

I might go and make a cake... internet is playing up so haven't managed to look at bebe's masterpiece yet but I feel inspired!

bebejones · 16/01/2011 20:59

Didn't get any 'alone' time with DH. :( Thought he was going to come straight to bed & after waiting for half an hour I got cold! Blush So got dressed & went to sleep! He was watching Match of the Day! Angry When I told him what I'd planned he just rolled his eyes! Hmm

Sooooooooooo I'm going to try working on him for the enxt month! If I can just build his confidence up a bit maybe, just maybe, there is a glimmer of hope. I'm due AF on the 27th of Jan & if I got PG my due date would be 3rd November which would have been my darling Dad's 65th Birthday! :(

Nannyl - Your appt schedule sounds similar to what mine was with DD, except I didn't ever get a home appt! Although if you are planning a home birth maybe that's why, even if it isn't 100% until 36weeks!

Hello ladies.

I am sooooo behind on everything that has been happening. Been at work the past few days, and am absolutely knackered, puking up, few near fainting episodes, man alive I'm shagged out - and no none of that has been taking place!!!! I've still not had chance to read back through and I feel kind of guilty about that as I don't know everything that has been going on.

Hopefully I'll be a little better now.

So feel free to update me if you have anything big going on.

How are the 2WWers?

bebejones · 16/01/2011 21:08

Oh also meant to say, Nannyl & 100 if it gets really bad, original lucozade is fab, sip it just to perk you up a bit...but not too much, it's alot of sugar!! Also ice lollies, coz for some reason cold stuff is alot eadier to stomach & it's nice on your throat if you have been wretching/being sick alot!

OP posts:
100years · 16/01/2011 21:10

bebe, thanks, but I can't drink lucozade because of one of the additives/sweetners in it :( I have weirdly found boiled water to be quite good the past few days.

How are you doing? What's been happening?

bebejones · 17/01/2011 08:19

Nothing happening! Hmm Still having awful dreams & I'm getting really tired through lack of sleep. Just hoping DH can be persauded soon to breed!!!

JustShaggingForNow · 17/01/2011 09:44

Morning all

It's been a busy weekend on here! Not had a chance to read through it all but Bebe that cake is amazing!!! I would definitely buy cakes from you!!!

Update on my 2WW
I am still feeling VERY sick and have also continue to have mild cramps but no sign of AF anywhere. Last night I had a horrific headache. Took ibuprofen and used a cool patch on my forehead but it had no impact what so ever and so I ended up sleeping the in spare room so I didn't disturb DH with my tossing and turning!

3 people asked me this weekend if I was pregnantConfused. A girl in my yoga class as I was really strugging and trying not to throw up. My yoga teacher for the same reasons as above and then a friend yesterday when I had to pee 3 times in about 90 mins (I thought you only had that as a symptom when you were a lot more heavilg PG and your bladder was getting squished!Confused)

Have managed to hold off testing so far but think I am going to cave in and buy a couple of tests tonight so I can do one tomrrow morning (when I will be 13DPO) and then if that is negative one if my AF is late....... Checked out the work maternity policy this morning (DH mentioned it last night but he is thinking abut 5 months time, not now!!!) and as long as I was employed before getting upduffed, I will get the SMP. They don't offer anything extra but it's not really a surprise!

jbells · 17/01/2011 10:30

JS- just a qucik one to say, weeing is def asign of early pg, i was goingto the toilet loads it then subsided and now at 22 weeks depending ho the baby is lying its back agen, im not having to get up in the middle of the nite tho atleast, things sounds positive for u anyway, fingers crossed :)

WW :) I am so with you!

I have so far ticked off:
Exhaustion
Not sleeping well
Vivid dreams
Permanently feeling sick
Needing to pee lots
Lots of saliva
Cramps
Massive bloating - I looked about 5 months gone on Friday. Emphasised even more as I usually have a completely flat stomach (there has to be some compensation for a pear shape!!!)

I am convincing myself that I am updiffed.... all the more to make me sad when I get the inevitable BFN tomorrow morning!!

Wow ladies. Both got lots of early pg symptoms, I hope it is this month for you. Yeah I had lots of weeing for a while, it's died off a bit now but think that's coz I can't stomach too much.

J bells wow, 22 wks :) excellent. :)

JustShaggingForNow · 17/01/2011 11:42

Yep - decided to do one tomorrow morning as I am going to go mad otherwise!! Not sure what test to use - am sure Nannyl will be able to advise though.
