It's a complete nightmare isn't it?! I haven't plunged...yet! But won't after you said that! We only have one bathroom, so are completely screwed! Thankfully the toilet is ok, the toilet waste pipe is deeper down. But I am worried as we have had problems with the toilet blocking alot this year! Stupid old plumbing system!

Can't shower/bath at all & have been brushing my teeth in the kitchen! Poor DD is going to have to have a 'bath' in the kitchen sink!! :(

You have had a busy morning. I have made some white chocolate & cranberry fudge. Was going to do peppermint creams, but don't have a lemon! Will have to do that 2moro. Have mince pies to make too, but need some butter for the pastry. I am picking DH up from work later [scared emoticon] then we are going to do the final pre Xmas food shop! My hamper of stuff that I won arrived this morning so at least we won't starve, and I did buy a turkey joint & ready to roast potatoes (I know it's lazy but DD won't eat it & I don't want to spend all day cooking) just need veg!

bebe can i ask, after all your boling water in, mop out, boiling water in, mop out did you actually achieve anything?

I could spend the next few hours doing just that, but if it hasnt worked wonder if thers any point.

LaplandUK, it's in Kent! Just can't risk the 3+ hour drive in this weather with a toddler. :( Also won £100 Sainsbury's vouchers so DH & I are going there when I pick him up! :)

I thought the boiling water was working when the sink bubbled & drained but it has since filled back up! I have now resorted to tipping salt down the plugholes! Need to buy more as didn't have much & had to sacrifice the Maldon sea salt!

Someone suggested a hairdryer on the pipes, won't work for us, but would that help you?

I have loads of salt in the cellar (stocked up on a value salt in Novemeber Tesco order ).

I have managed to unfreeze my bath but not the sink
then i ran the shower on super hot for about 15 mins once it was working.

Hair dryer wont help me im afraid as the pipe is outside... we have an alley under our house and the bathroom is on top, so id need to be about 10ft tall to reach.

Didnt realise you meant lapland UK, but even so, you have one a trip to lapland (uk) and a hamper and £100 sainsburys vouchers.... that still makes you very lucky.

Nannyl - I have unblocked mine! :o Salt & boiling water was the key! I am so relieved. Plus feeling a bit smug as DH had been 'living' with it for 3 days! Men!!! Keep going, once the bath is done the sink will probably follow! That's what mine did!

Thanks everyone. Bit miserable tonight, not least because "to cheer me up" DH had his mother round to clean the flat while I was at work. She's done the bedroom and everything.

Oh dear, I would be a bit & if my DH did that (but then I don't particularly get on with my MIL, but then again I get on well with my step-MIL & I wouldn't want her doing it either)! I suppose his intentions were good & he was trying to do something nice for you!

1 more day & I hit my 3 months 'clean' mark! Unfortunately too late for any TTC (even if DH wanted to) I'm day 24 today...maybe next month!

well we have had boling water / salt all night (and yesturday afternoon) and sink is still frozen
Our friends are using our en suite lol.

But coonfused as its now day 17 and i STILL havent had a temp rise.
Its normally day 16 but once has been day 17, but the earliest this month will now be day 18
Does this mean i havent ovulated this month?
If not what does it mean?

OHs last day at work today.... he finishes early then its his works Xmas do tonight so that should be good fun, not that ill be drinking at all!

Maybe it is so cold your body temperature is lower?! Maybe?!

How odd that the sink is still frozen! Can't think of anything else that you haven't tried already!!

Oh AC that really sucks that you didn't get the job. Hopefully it means positive news for TTC for you and also gives you the confidence to look for other roles as and when they arise.

To go through that many interviews evidently means that you are a fantastic candidate and so if you are still keen to escape your job asap then I am sure that you will manage it.

Sorry to hear about the job AC. Like JS said, I'm sure you will be super prepped and ready to storm the next job that comes up. Did they give you any feedback? What is the score re TTC now? Have you and DP talked about it yet or are you letting the dust settle first?

Morning all.

Hopefully the last day at work for me today. As of yesterday the leave for tomorrow was still showing, I will try and keep my head down today, but hopefully there will be no issues and I have 10 hours to work and that's it.....

I spoke to my line manager yesterday, he agreed that I could start an hour earlier, which means my finishes will be an hour earlier, which makes a huge difference, however I may end up doing a few more night shifts to make up for the fact that I'm not working as much, we shall see how it goes. I am also considering dropping a shift, we either do 4 or 5 shifts in a row and thinking of dropping to only doing 4, but I need to get the money side of things checked out before I do this. But I feel less meh about the whole work thing now :)

CD 24 for me, yesterday I woke thinking - ooh I might be pg, then felt really silly for thinking that. No real symptoms this month so far, which may be because I'm not looking for them!!! My boobs are sore though and have been for days, this I fear is going to be a common occurrence for me in the wait!

100 - so pleased you have managed to (sort of) sort things out at work. We are cycle twins! :o If you aren't PG this month (Crossing everything for you that you are) and I can convince DH to TTC next month, we might end up with the same EDD!

Have made peppermint creams this morning, but was gutted to find that I left my star shape cutters (ie. the ones I bought just for making the Christmas sweets) at my mums! Also made some (cheats) mince pie ice cream! Butter is warming up to make some pastry for mince pies. Also gave the kitchen floor a quick clean. Trying to occupy my morning before DH gets home for Christmas! :)

Well OH finishes for Xmas in an hour or so...
My friends have continued their journey up north for Xmas.
I made it to my wonderful market and now have lots of fresh local veg (stored in the cellar as fridge is full) and also collected my meat.
Colleceted some stuff from OH's warehouse, and about to make another batch of mince pies i think.
TMI here but i have more EWCM.... im sure in TCOYF it says how you can be ready to OV but not of (normally due to illness or stress, i had neither lol, but anyway!) so perhaps i might OV in the next few days.

Anyway, when OH finishes for Xmas we will have lots of time to SWI again , incase its happening now.
Might do another OV test.... had VERY strong -ve 2 days ago (didnt test yesturday, super strong +ve day before strong -ve) so will take even a hint of a line that maybe i didnt OV as planned and it my body might be trying again round now....

OH's work Xmas do tonight... OH has nominated me as driver so at least i can be alchol free and not have to explain!

So also need to shower / do hair etc etc

nannyl - Not sure where you are in your cycle but i had more EWCM about 1 week after ovulation just for a day. I started feelinq queasy at about the same time!

I did laugh at you being Alcohol free and not having to explain. We went to a party at a friends last weekend. When i turned up with non-alcoholic drinks they all guessed instantly! It was only 5 mins walk home so couldn't use driving as an excuse. I think i went bright red and mumbled something about being too early! No-one has said anything since.

We are seeing my parents and sister on Christmas Day and will have to tell them. I fully expect my mum to guess as soon as we walk through the door, she knows everything!!! I mentioned the other day that we had started getting an organic veg box delivered and she said "what prompted that?" in an i know you are pregnant kind of way :)

done another OPK and there was the feintist of feint line (as oposed to no line at all 48 hours ago).... not 100% convinced ive actually OV'd yet!
