First of all thank you all for the welcome! I've clearly not checked back quickly enough as this thread has woooooshed on! Sorry if I don't reply to everyone
I must say I'm a bit freaked out to find out someone in this thread lives in the same place as me - eep!
It's Christmas Eve and I am feeling TOTALLY Christmassy. Everything is ready to go, I've highlighted everything I want to watch on telly in the Radio Times and I'm positively gasping to taste all the lovely wine we've bought for the festive season (making the most of it, I'd love to be pregnant next year!).
nannyl Thanks for the welcome, have indeed read the Lance Armstrong books (probably too soon, it was all very tearful) but yes, we're both extremely lucky that it's all under control. You're definitely ahead of me if you're actively trying, I think I may be in the holding pen for many more months to come!
jinglebellssatnasmells It does seem to be a lucky thread - hopefully not quite yet for me! DH is a bit confusing, I think if I just stopped taking the pill he'd be happy with the outcome. However, we've got goals we want to achieve first or, at the very least, his job to settle down. How far along are you?
bebe Well it happened a few weeks before we got married - was touch and go, but he was determined to get married! Was a very emotional day to say the least, but also EXTREMELY joyous. Am so happy to be a wife this Christmas, and long may that continue. Well done on the Sainsbury's vouchers, what great timing.
strawberrypie I totally sympathis with the dilemma of the DH's job settling down - it's a pain, isn't it? Glad your cycle has settled down, when I came off the implant last year it took months for me to get back to normal and I couldn't stop fretting about it.
AmandaCooper Bummer, gutted for you (I have read the thread and how long the process has been).
WYorksLass How exciting! And honeymoon... lovely!
JSFN Great idea! I feel very up to speed with your situation now. Just started a new job myself and it's so tricky finding out all the ins and outs of maternity pay without 'letting on'.
WhyWait Good luck with the PGCE interview. All this career and study stuff really does seem to throw a spanner in the works. I also feel glad I have MN now, as I don't really want to talk about this to anyone in RL. When a friend told me she was trying, I felt like I was always wondering what was going on... information being withheld etc (for good reason!) so I like having a place to be honest!
squirrel007 Congratulations! I suppose that makes you a 'graduate' now?
100years Oooo another person out of the holding pen! Wishing you the best of luck. Again, jobs disturbing things! Grrr!
