I'll try to be brief, although I fear I won't succeed.
I have a 5 year old DD and had an ectopic preg 4 years ago with a tube removed. Since then, I've never had a BFP, despite spending a small fortune on tests. I've had 3 IVFs, all unsuccessful, and following the last one in June had a hysteroscopy where the doc discovered infection in my womb and a large septum which was removed. This doctor thought I didn't need IVF and that since the problems had been fixed I might conceive naturally.
Anyway, this month my period was 2 days late but I didn't bother with a test as I find them too depressing. My period started but it was really light for the first 2 days which is unusual. It then came on in full flow, although no clots, which is TMI, but also unusual. I have been bleeding now for almost 2 weeks, although it is now quite light and varies between brown and bright red. This is unheard of for me- I'm regular as clockwork and it lasts about 5 days. I did a pregnancy test a couple of days ago and it was negative but I am a little concerned about another ectopic and wonder if I should visit my GP for a blood test, but I worry that they will think I'm being silly.
Does anyone have any theories on the late / long period or have any experience of something similar, and what was the outcome?
