No, it does not mean that you are ovulating every month but there is more chance that ovulation is happening if there is a regular cycle. Even normally fertile women have the occasional anovulatory cycle and it is certainly possible to have periods without ovulating.

Charting and such methods are not totally accurate methods and can also give rise to stress and worry. The best way to confirm ovulation is to have blood tests done, your hormone levels need to be properly looked at.

How long have you been ttc for?. If it is nearly a year now I would be making an appt with the GP.

Thank you, gosh I sound so thick don't I? It's only my first month of ttc but I am so clueless . I got ovulation kits but they didn't say I was ovulating when the calculator said I should be.

Even assuming you do ovulate every month, you may not ovulate when you think you should. CD14 is only the average ovulation day. Some women ovulate earlier in their cycle and other later.

Also if you ov really late in you cycle (within 9 days or less of period starting) you may have a luteal phase defect that can make TTC harder.

not scaring me, what will be will be. Nothing I can do about it. I am healthy, optimum weight etc, don't drink (much) don't smoke and do excercise so not much else I can do.Thanks for the advice. I am just confused that the tests say I am not ovulating but the calculators say I should be. I didn't get the ovulation kit until day day 9 of my cycle so I guess it is possible I am already pregnant ( hopeful but unlikely emotion). I have bought some more tests so will continue to test to see if I can work all this out.
