Hi, im going nuts with this so have to share im afraid.
I had cancer last year and was told 60/40 chance of still having a baby (we already have a DS aged 21 months).
My periods came were all over the place after treatment but mainly because of the pill i was on. i came off that and started getting regular periods, although did miss one period with nothing happening. past 2 peiords have been a perfect 28 days so we TTC at day 10 - 14. My period was due last friday if it was going to be another 28 day cycle. I started spot bleeding on the wednesday and this continued on the thursday but nothing came of it and by the friday it had all gone. Im now thinking this might have been implantation bleeding, but didnt have it with DS so not sure. I did a test on monday moring and nothing happened, but i only left it a few minutes, then went back about 5 minutes later, fished it out the bin and there was a faint line, but it was visable and it was pink. Did another one the same on tuesday afternoon and this time waited the full 5 mins. this time there was nothing but after 10-15 minutes a pink line started to appear and by 30 was completely visable. both of the tests are still showing a clear line. Im due to go out drinking for my hubbys birthday on saturday night so ive bought a clear blue digital but not going to do it till friday morning when i should be a week late, but its driving me mad not knowing. Ive got the same right hand stitch that i had with my DS and im more tired on an evening but other than that dont feel any different, but then i didnt with DS.
Im so scared that the digital will say not pregnant or if it says not pregnant then i go out drinking for the night and it turns out i am.
Sorry to go on but ive promised hubby i'll wait until friday to do next one.
Any advice or stories of faint lines would be good. Thanks,
suz xx

I'm afraid you have to ignore results after the ten minute cut off time. However,if the faint line is pink it might be good. The only solution is to do another test and actually use a timer. I would explain to your husband that you are worried about drinking if you might be pregnant and do another test beforehand. I would use a digital, but one that shows up early, such as a conception indicator test. That way you know the result is reliable.
If it is BFP then you can celebrate!
If it is BFN, well after the pill all sorts can happen in the first few months. Might be a random cycle when you ovulated late.
If you have 28 day cycle I would suggest SWI up until at least day 15. I'd say days 11-16.
You could have had a very light period if perhaps you didn't ovulate this cycle? It's perfectly normal to miss ovulating once or twice a year apparently. Not helpful for ttc though!

Hi, thanks for replying. ive got 2 clear blue early digitals so will give that a go and i think i will have to accept the result and not keep testing. Could be like you say that i had a mini period and now im on day 8 of a new cycle so going to be a few weeks before i have a period so need to look towards that rather than thinking, still no AF so might be pregnant.
Looking forward to friday morning and knowing one way or another.
xx
