Anybody here get pregnant AFTER being sterilised?

Have an appt next week to arrange a sterilisation but am CONVINCED that its not going to work. I am super fertile and definitely do not want any more children. ( I have 4, 2 planned, 2 result of Pill failure ) I know the success rate is 99%+ but apparently 1 woman in 200 get pregnant after the op and I know that one is going to be me!

I'll take that as a no then!

I was sterilised 6 years ago-during a c-section which is meant to be more risky!

I had the clips put on, and so far no pregnancies.

I would discuss it more with your g.p.

My friend was sterilised after her third child. 5 years later her daughter was born! She has been sterilised again but this time they have taken her tubes as it was done using clips the first time.

Did she know why this happened???

They put it down to her being sterilised following her Cs for DC3. Her tubes were swollen when the clips were fitted and then shrank back eventually allowing an egg through.

She sat crying when she got the pg test result but only because of the shock. Her DD is 7 now.
