LH and pituatary gland issues

Hi,
I've been ttc for 18 months now. Was diagnosed with PCOS based on a scan and anovulatory cycles - am currently on Clomid 50 and Ovitrelle injection - - A week post the injection my progesterone test level is abysmally low - 5.5.
Based on Day 2 and Day 9 scans and blood tests, what seems apparent to me is that most of my hormones are available to enable a dominant follicle to grow to about 18mm every month - whether I am on Clomid or not...but my LH levels at day 9 are very low - the last was 1.5iu/l on CD9.

Have any of you been in such a situation -- Am wondering what I can do to help that dominant follicle ovulate....

Have they talked further about what they will try next if clomid and ovitrelle injections combined do not work out?.

Some women find that laparoscopic ovarian diathermy surgery can help kickstart ovulation (the cystic follicles on the ovaries are punctured using an electrical needle or laser). Have they mentioned this surgery to you, it may be worth asking about. I have PCOS and conceived as a direct result of such surgery - my LH and FSH levels were all over the place.

Its not a cure for PCOS (there isn't one and the underlying causes of PCOS are still not completely understood) but it is another option going forward.

I did go through the procedure in Jan - did not help with the ovulation though. I have also since lost 10 kgs so hopefully that will help. My FSH:LH ratio was fine from the start.
Have a meeting with my consultant tomorrow - hope he can make some sense out of what's happening to me.
