Breastfeeding, but got periods, can I conceive?

I had our baby 4 months ago and am keen to conceive again as soon as possible for a variety of factors that I won't outline here.
I have had regular periods since 6 weeks after birth, was EBF up until this week, when we started on FF once or twice a day.
I really need some reassurance that I can get pregnant even though I am breastfeeding.

BF as a contraception is only reliable while your baby's under 6 months and while you have no periods (plus a few other factors)
If you're worried you can get ovulation sticks on ebay, think mine were less than £3 inc P&P.

the advice i was given was that if you breastfed exclusively (so no formula, solids or water) with no long breaks (so at least every 3-4 hours day and night) and you had not got your periods back you were very unlikely to conceive. So turning this on its head my guess is that it will be possible for you. Breastfeeding justs makes you a bit less fertile for obvious evolutionary reasons

yes you certainly can get pregnant while breastfeeding!

When I had DC#1 I was keen to conceive again quickly as it had taken a while for her to arrive.
The doctor advised that if that was how I felt and wouldn't mind getting pg quickly that I used no bc and just breastfeed. I exclusively bf until she was 4 months, then on a holiday she a few bottles that month I fell pg straight away no problems. I continued to bf until 3 months into my pg.
So my advice just carry on doing what your doingGood luck.

You can definately get pregnant when breastfeeding. I was and am!

I was exclusively breastfeeding ds1 every 2 -3 hours and fell pregnant with ds2.
