Clearblue test - same fault twice!

OK, so I did a cheapo test and I'm pg. Smile But there is an issue as to when I conceived - last month or this one (I know, I know...I had a v. late period last month and now I'm wondering whether it wasn't a period at all).

So I bought a Clearblue test with conception indicator on Monday to see if I could work it out. Did the test, followed instructions, got a 'book error'.
Assumed I'd made some mistake. So I went in the rain today to buy another one at huge cost and did it, following the instructions to the letter. Another book error.

What's going on here? I can't contact Clearblue at all - but these errors are a tad expensive, and I really truly did it right - definitely the second time.

Get a blood test done at your gps surgery. Much more reliable and purse friendly! Congratulations x

How annoying DewinDoeth!! Is there anyway the stick got a bit, ahem, TOO wet?

Does seem very bad to get two book errors. You need to keep trying the Clearblue helpline and ask for a refund, that is pants.

maybe it means it can't tell you cos you are too far on?
i have no idea really... but i would go and see a midwife and get a dating scan booked. far more reliable :)

congratulations

Superdrug have got BOGOF on their own brand (quite good tests), and agree with Fedup bloods are more reliable, have two lots done a few days apart...your levels should double every 48/72 hours.

I am a bit wary of those conception indicator tests...not very reliable in my experience.

Fingers crossed for youSmilex

The clearblue website says that the conception indicator may produce dodgy results if you are more than 6 weeks past conception, see your doctor and see if you can get an early scan to date your pregnancy. And congratulations!

Hm, well, I've decided I'm not doing any more of those tests. Can't afford it anyway! Grin (I will still complain to them though.)

Here's hoping it was last month and not this month, right?
