I am currently TTC1 with DH. Since we met 9 years ago I have quite often had post-coital bleeding Blush. I had a loop diathermy when I was about 20-22 (am now 31) but normal smears ever since so I'm not necessarily desperately worried about it however I just wondered if anyone has experienced the same and still concieved?

Thanks

Yes, i had this on and off since my twenties , i am now 33 and have two children aged 5 and 18 months. I went to the doctor when i was about 25 and got myself checked and the bleeding was something called cervical erosion. They said it was nothing to worry about, but if i was worried i could have the area on the cervix sealed, by a simple procedure called cyro surgery. It was a ten min procedure and felt like a dull ache when the procdure was being carried out. The bleeding stopped after this and i went on to conceive very easily two beautiful girls. My advice would be to have a chat to your doctor , just to get yourself checked out and to give you peace of mind, best of luck :)

That's brilliant Spotsanddots! Grin Thanks for the advice, and I will definitely mention all of the above when I finally track down my elusive Doctor! It's good to know that there's a simple procedure as I'm pretty sure the loop has resulted in me having a weaker cervix. How lovely for you having two girls too, congratulations! Smile
