Hi all

I came off the pill(Cilest) on 2nd october so its now been a month and no sign of AF. i realise that this isn't a long time compared to many people on here so I don't want to appear overly panicked at this early stage, but does anyone have any practical suggestions as to anything i can do to hurry it up, or at least to ovulate? Ive been checking temperature and CM all month but theres definitely been no sign of any ovulation.

Any advice appreciated.

I can't help with getting it back but I came off the pill on 19 July and got AF on 23 August, so maybe wait a little longer. I knew it was coming a day before as I was very moody, 2.5 years of AF catching up on me!!

Another one here saying don't worry yet, I came off the pill a couple of months ago and first cycle was 36 days long. Second cycle bang on 28 days.
Probably the best thing you can do is try not to worry about it too much!

Thanks both of you. I suppose I am just thinking...what if it doesn't come back. Oddly I am feeling a bit teary today so maybe thats a sign? Or could just be the Tuesday morning blues!

It took my body 3 months to get periods again after I stopped Microgynon 30. I was just at the point of getting worried, went to the GP, she sent me for blood tests and it started the day after!

Getdown, its good that your doctor took you seriously to send for blood tests after 3 months- I've read loads of stories on here about dismissive GPs saying 'come back after a year' which must be a nightmare.

Yes, I was lucky it was a lovely female GP. Hard to get an appointment with her though as she is only part time! I doubt some of the other GPs would have taken me seriously.

As it happened, it did start the next day so I suppose there is some truth in just letting your body take its time.

So frustrating though when you are waiting to TTC!

I vowed never to go back on the pill because it took so long to regulate again. Even once I got a period back it took another year or so to get back into a regular 30 ish day cycle,

Not saying this will be the case for you but I believe the pill messed up my hormones for quite a while.
