Hi all.
Glad to hear that BQ and Louey are having lots of yucky symptoms to make for beautiful, healthy and sticky beans. Smile Hope you get your scan Louey and that you get your Ds's school sorted.

MLS Hello and Biscuit cos I talk to you all day!!

Cupcake Hope swimming went well.

Vjay Gold stars to us both this week and lets hope the scales reward us. Yum to satsumas. The sourer, the better for me. I don't know if it's because of the more stable sugar levels but I feel so much more positive this week.

Blue I'm in a Christmas frenzy! I've started writing cards and wrapping presents and M and I made 3 cards yesterday Shock I expect someone to thump me soon Grin How's the bumshuffler getting on?

Monkey really sorry I missed your b'day. Hope you had a lovely happy time.

Lovely pic of S 4ever

Barbie are you still making progress? last night was great here. 7pm-6am with ONE 20 MINUTE wakeup for milk! Grin and that was after 4 hours of nap yesterday. Sleep begets sleep! Smile

Sabshope work is becoming easier.

Mermaid How's the renovation coming? We're still looking into having our downstairs toliet and ensuite done. Lots of ££ which DH finds difficult Smile but it'll be worth it.

Hope everyone else is well. Sorry if I've missed anything.

loueytbg · 04/11/2010 10:57

Morning, back from GPs Smile

Vjay big claps to you for resisting the choccies and I agree with neeko that satsumas are lovely. Am expecting major weight loss this week from you both as you have been such good girls Grin

Neeko yay to H!!!! And long may it continue Grin You are probably feeling more positive because you have had that much more sleep. It does help a little.....Well done on your xmas wrapping. I am getting a little excited already and DS2 is beside himself. He keeps asking whether its still November (he knows December is hte magic month). This morning he asked me if FC could find his wii dance game (which has mysteriously disappeared). No idea where he gets it from. Am thinking of doing some new traditions this year too, have been browsing the christmas section on here for inspiration. So far I have decided to get the book Twas the night before Christmas and read it to them on Christmas Eve.

4ever had peek at your latest pics of Summer and she is a little pumpkin munchkin Do love the pic of her reading too Smile

Barbie how is the sleep??

BQ Biscuit

Waves to everyone else, hope you are all ok!

GP has referred me to EPU for early scan - did not even blink when I asked. He filled the form out there and then, my mobile no is on it and it should be faxed today so hopefully next week I will get a call with an appt. Got all the bumpf that you get given and the form for free prescriptions. And got flu jab too.

I was supposed to have one yesterday at work and cancelled it when I found out I was pg as they previously said you shouldn't have it under 12 wks. Of course this year its all changed and they want all pg women to have it and pref the earlier the better. I know there were some awful stories of people last year getting flu and losing babies or being admitted to hospital in a very poorly state and I don't want to risk it. Last time I had flu I was very ill for 2wks. So GP said do you want it now, and I've killed 2 birds with one stone.

Now back to zzzz at my desk. Its a good job that I haven't got tons of work on at the moment, because I've not done a lot this week.

VJay · 04/11/2010 11:08

mls I don't know how to move your pictures over sorry, but barbie might, she taught me how to link stuff Grin, and yes footmuff does sound better Grin

neeko yukky sour satsumas, there's always one in the pack if not more, I'll be sending the sour ones down to you.

louey I will wisper incase you're asleep, yay to a lovely gp who didn't think twice about reffering you to EPU, now back to sleep lady Smile

Just finished the housework and Ajay followed me the whole time and tired himself out so is now fast asleep, bonus Grin

loueytbg · 04/11/2010 11:10

Vjay yay to tired Ajay - bless him folowing you around. I would love to sleep but its not going to happen.

Now off to post a message in SN about how to stop my houdini DS1 from getting out of his car seat. He has worked out not only how to wriggle out of his shoulder straps but can now undo his clasp. No sense whatsoever...

VJay · 04/11/2010 11:34

louey I had exactly the same problem with Cjay at the same age too, we got the thing you linked too (on the other thread) and it did work. It was a relief when he went into the next stage car seat because he never undid that one, maybe because he was a little bit older. Also we tried telling him the dangers but he just never got it at that age. Good luck xx

loueytbg · 04/11/2010 11:54

Thank you vjay very helpful. Did you get the next stage car seat with a five point harness as well or did you go to a booster and seatbelt?

VJay · 04/11/2010 12:33

We went for a booster and seat belt Smile

barbie1 · 04/11/2010 14:35

Hello hello...
I haven't had a minute to myself to be able to post but now dh is working late and D is all tuck up in bed and im free for a short while Smile

louey fab news about being referred for an early scan, what a nice doctor you have Smile you did make me giggle at your repetitive testing, i was the same....even did one at 27 weeks Blush Grin us, paranoid? never! ha ha

vjay at muff (you do know what muff means if you are a chav?!) footmuff is way way better Grin Good for you on the diet front. Im only just recovering from the buggy fit. I seriously couldnt even pick up dolly the next day, ouch!

mls lovely to see you back, the recent pics of K are just divine, S looks like such a proud big sis Glad your little miss is settling down and knows day from night...as for being a human dummy Biscuit im still one 8 months on!

bq hope you are holding up my lovely.....

neeko wow o wow at H, her sleeping is amazing! We have had a few crap night, coupled with a few good ones. Her top two teeth are just about to come through so im not being to harsh. That said she goes to bed at 6-6.30 with no fuss, will murmur about an hour later and will self settle. Last night i didnt get up straight away for her 11pm feed, she went for another 1.5 hours. Trying to do the same over the next few nights. Which will hopefully push the second feed back too (it will be awake time by then so not classed as a night feed) Naps are hit and miss, for some reason i cant let her cry in the day Hmm her first one is when she is due a feed so easier to put her down, the second is normally in the car as we are out and about....the third is just blah! Im liking the earlier to bed thing though Wink

Waves to everyone else, im not being rude but im going to make the most of my time off and have a lovely bath, body scrub and all other lovely girlie things to do...

Speak soon xxx

bakingqueen · 04/11/2010 15:10

Hello another quick post going to try to go out tonight for friends bday not sure how I will manage still feeling sick and very tired but then panic if I go an hour without feeling that way. Glad you got scan appointment louey but a bit Envy that you got a load of bumph and a free px thing I have got nothing so far hoping midwife will give me something next week on booking in appointment. Gotta go nausea back again

QuestionsAgain · 04/11/2010 15:58

Hello! Been a busy week, finally got 2 minutes to myself.

Great to see you back again MLS and so pleased that everything is going well and that K has worked out day and night, what a relief Grin Hope you work out the photos soon, I am desperate to see a photo!

Vjay like the sound of an Emmsy's virtual cocktail night, will let you know when. Wink Like you and blue I also take songs literally, we would make a great dancing troupe Hmm Well done on your cast iron will, turning down chocolate?Shock

louey Your GP sounds great, glad you got referred for an early scan. Hope you managed to get some sleep at work Wink Saw this book and thought of you and trying to get the right school for Isaac, it looks good.

4ever Loved the fact that you made seasonal purees with pumpkin and Sweet potato and that S was dressed as a pumpkin Grin Yay to sitting up unaided.

neeko Hope you manage to get your Dh to agree to starting the work, I am so impatient when I want something doing like that.

BQ In the nicest possible way, I am glad you are feeling rough Grin The symptoms must be keeping you hopeful and give you a bit less time for weebling.

cupcake How did the swimming lesson go? So cute, the image of J sitting up holding on to his feet.

Monkey hope this week has been a little easier, been thinking of you.

Right, better go start some cooking, DH out this evening so looking forward to having an early night.

BTW, anybody else watching the apprentice? I love it, though think he should have sacked all 3 last night. been watching the You're fired on BBC 2 afterwards too, love Dara O'Briain.

MummysLittleSunbeams · 04/11/2010 16:55

QA I'm watching the apprentice, they are not as annoying as last years bunch. Do you watch I'm A Celebrity? It starts in about a week - yay!

BQ booking-in appt... omg such a milestone. I had to cancel three last year so was all emotional when I finally made it this time.

Barbie Shock at you still being used as a dummy! My next-door neighbour used to swaddle her babies with their thumbs in their mouths so that they could self-settle!

Louey glad you are getting an early scan, I bet it's all starting to feel real now hey? So excited for both you & BQ. Have you stopped temping now or are you still tempted to check every morning??!

Neeko you truly are a freak for liking sour satsumas! I hope what you said about having lots of daytime sleep encouraging nighttime sleep as dd2 had a three hour nap today.

MNHQ are onto my disappearing photo's but in the meantime I've added a couple.

QuestionsAgain · 04/11/2010 18:14

Ooh gorgeous photos MLS love the one with both your girls Smile Smile You must be so proud.

They do seem to have an amazing knack of picking annoying candidates on the apprentice. I did watch the first couple of series of I'm a celebrity, but then they started getting more obscure and half the time I didn't recognise them, plus the gruesome bug eating, spider touching and scary dark pits full of maggots put off. Shock

I agree with neeko about sleep encouraging sleep, have always found it to be true with DS. Hopefully you're in a for a good night tonight then
Grin

bluesatinsash · 04/11/2010 20:45

Hey All

Didn't get the chance to lurk at work yesterday (had to actually work - how annoying Wink).

Anyway, lovely to have you 'back' MLS and loving all the photos of your sunbeams Smile. Hope you're managing some sleep and Miss K is spacing her feeds out a little.

BTW I changed my name two years back and it gives your the option to "carry your photos over" its just a box you tick on your details page form what I remember.... Hmm

Neeko - that is GREAT news so sleep perchance to dream... firmly believe in good seep breeds good sleep too. DH is off to Glasgow tomorrow armed with a list and a mission. He loves shopping for pressies Smile especially for his boys Smile.

Vjay - muff? Still poser walking. The rain was horizontal here today so it was car there and back which is appalling as school is 10 mins walk away..

BQ - hope your midwife appointment has you staggering out with lots of bumpf and feeling yucky is good, good, good!

Louey - what a lovely doctor Smile. at your DS2 asking if it was the magical month Smile. I'm like that too Blush. I LOVE December...

Barbie - I hope you had a well deserved and then some pampering yourself day and just s-l-w-e-d down. Hope D's teeth pop through soon x

QA - hope your enjoying your early night and DH free evening Smile. My all time top doing the ations to song is "The Whole of the Moon" by The Waterboys. Had it at my wedding and people had to stand clear as my circling arms were lethal Grin

I'm savouring every day just now, every day Ben is still a baby. He's still bum shuffling like a pro but no strength yet to crawl or stand for any length of time. I'm cherishing him in his babygrows with feet and well everything about this lovely 9-12 month stage as he wil be toddling about before I know it. I just love him to bits (and his big bro of course as he is my PFB Smile.

Away to sniff the top of their heads x

p.s. will post a couple of before and after garage conversion shots...

bluesatinsash · 04/11/2010 20:47

snort! Vjay - power walk not poser walk Grin!! But then maybe you do swing those hips just so Wink

cupcakefairy · 04/11/2010 21:24

Evening ladies,

Hi MLS! Great to 'see' you...absolutely gorgeous pic of your girls!

louey fab you're getting a scan :)

bq sorry you're Envy (sick face) but at the same time, yippeee!

blue so lovely you're savouring every moment of B's babyhood. I spent a couple of hours with my bf and her newborn today and actually came away feeling really sad that Jude isn't tiny anymore...stupid isn't it as I absolutely love him the age he is but there's something about newborns isn't there!

neeko brilliant about the sleep. J napped for 2.5 hours yesterday which was amazing- I baked and everything (but not for me to eat sadly!!) but then terrible night with lots of waking and crying :( h would have to be the exception to the rule wouldn't he!

Swimming wasn't great- he cried a lot and just wanted me to hold him close rather than at arms length doing the 'swimming'- he's been loads of times and not cried so I'm hoping he'll be ok next week :( my dad didn't get any pics- we were completely thick and forgot he obviously wouldn't be allowed to take pics of a kids swimming class Grin

Some bad news too... the axe has fallen on dh's head yet again :( He's been given 5 weeks notice. Just feel incredibly sad for him. He is bloody good at what he does and hate that we have to go through this again :(

Am off to create a thread about hen parties to cheer myself up...

loueytbg · 04/11/2010 21:52

cupcake I'm so sorry about your DH - there are so many people going through this at the moment (my sister is going to find out in the next few weeks whether she has a job or not). I take it that it has happened before? Will keep everything crossed that he gets something quickly. Newborns are indeed scrummy so I know exactly what you mean. Its the smell that gets me. Hope J is better at swimming next week - hadn't realised it wasn't his first dip in the pool. Its probably just a blip

blue they made you work, at work??? How very annoying. Don't they know that we go back to work to MN in peace Wink Ben just looks so scrummy in the pics, all cuddly babyness, totally understand why you are cherishing this time with him. Is the garage conversion finished then??

MLS yep I've stopped temping too. Quite liberating really Grin Just get up early to go to the loo now Confused. I'm excited about celebrity although I think the quality of the celebrities has gone downhill in recent years.

QA how lovely of you to think of me with that book. I do feel a bit like a guerilla mum at times Hmm. I have picked up one from the library which is pretty good - its just finding the time to read it properly that I struggle with. Loving the apprentice - the woman that got fired last night turned out to be such a bitch - really glad she went.

barbie your plan of bath and beauty pampering sounded divine. Hope you are suitably relaxed and Dolly lets you have a nice nights sleep too. So pleased the teeth are nearly through. Hopefully her sleeping will be more settled after that. And Biscuit for testing at 27 weeks Grin Surely she was kicking you in the fanjo at that point???

BQ hope you manage to have a good night tonight. I just feel like every day is about 2 days. I've never known time go so slowly. Hope you get a bit of respite soon from the sickness. My proper chucking up usually starts at 6 weeks so I'm expecting it very soon. We can be vom buddies Grin I'm sure you will get all the bumpf next week - I think our GP surgery does things a bit differently (they actually seem quite efficient). I would have got my hospital notes today as well except that they carry notes from a different hospital to the one I want to go to. (I like to be difficult...)

vjay and neeko am looking forward to the weigh in tomorrow Wink

VJay · 05/11/2010 09:37

Vjay saunters in in her posing style of walking WinkGrin, thanks blue Grin

cupcake so sorry about your dh's job Sad will he be able to get something else easily? I hope so.

Ok the big weigh-in... I lost a pound, neeko lost 2.75 pounds!!!!!!! HUGE GOLD STAR TO NEEKO we are both following a non-diet Hmm, we are cutting out the crap and snacks. I find it hard to not nibble on Ajay's left overs, maybe if I imagine them covered in his drool snot....

Right I'm off to tackle the Everest of ironing that seems to accumulate in just a day these days!
Oh and qa looking forward to cocktail night Grin

QuestionsAgain · 05/11/2010 09:58

louey Grin @ 'surely she was kicking you in the fanjo by that point?' Yuck to Vom buddies Envy < thats actually a sick face, perhaps we could re assign it to you and BQ for your pregnancy sick face Grin

Well done to vjay and neeko When I read it I couldn't help but think of this Peter Kay clip
But, you are both doing well and it must be so hard to keep it up when you are both running around looking after little ones, the craving for a sugar boost must be difficult at times, maybe that's just me though Grin

cupcake sorry about your DH's job, what a nightmare, will keep fingers crossed that he finds something (even better) soon.

Blue it's no wonder you are savouring every moment with Ben, he looks very squishable and way too cute Smile Sounds like the Emmsy's dance troupe are going to need a big space for dancing Grin

Right, can you tell i am meant to be cleaning? I am doing a pretty good job of avoiding it, but as we have got visitors this afternoon, I should at least make it presentable.

loueytbg · 05/11/2010 15:02

Shit shit shit

EPU phoned - have appointment on Tuesday afternoon. I'm absolutely petrified.....

mermaidspurse · 05/11/2010 15:22

cupcake your poor lovely dh what a dreadful upheaval again. Not an easy time is it at the moment, fingers crossed that someone grabs him.

blue savouring every moment is so important you are so right and I love the way you have summed it up.

I am traped at home with a very poorly ds who woke up with an awful temp in the middle of the night, aches everywhere, wobbly can't eat etc. Looks like a small dose of flu.
You know they are really ill when they don't try the can I watch telly on the sofa routine.

bq This is brilliant that you are feeling so sick. You are doing really well.x

louey you too and well done for getting your scan all sorted out. Every day feels like an eternity for you both right now.

well done on the weight loss vjay and neeko I havn't been near the gym this week as been busy with work and being florence but am not hopeful what with scoffing all ds halloween stash.

qa bet you just swept everything into carrier bags and hid them in a cupboardGrin

4ever great pictures of the lil pumpkinSmile Are you getting the hang of solids, time is fair swoshing along.

barbie not long til you have visitors bet you all can't wait. Hope you are managing a bit of sleep and you time mixed in and well done for perservering .x

monkey think you may still be on holiday but thinking of you and hope you are as ok as you can possibly be.x

lbm only just catching up poor little mouse. What a scare for you all. I'm glad you had a lovely holiday to go and recover on.

vjay stop ironing it's fridayGrin

mermaidspurse · 05/11/2010 15:23

loey tuesday is when tuesday does and it will be ok.
Sofa, chocolate, feet up, deep breaths.
Repeat after me 'It will be ok' x

barbie1 · 05/11/2010 15:54

louey as always mermaid has already offered wise words....we are all here to help you through the weekend and beyond Smile its going to be ok.

mermaid nice to see you again my lovely...sorry to hear ds isnt very well Sad I hope you dont come down with it. I would get on the sofa with him, duvet, chocolate and dvd's, both of you can relax then...

cupcake sorry to hear about dh work troubles Sad fingers crossed that something comes along soon and its all stress free.

blue loving the conversion, very swish!

vjay ironing? what is that? Grin i hardly ever iron tbh most of my clothes dont need it and if they do i dont wear them i wait until the cleaners come and present them with a huge pile Grin well done on the weight loss, im still struggling. Im convinced i have ibs, i googled all my symptoms ( i know i shouldnt of but couldnt help it!) and it all fits, my scan is booked im just waiting for the date

bq glad you are feeling crap...in the nicest possible way of course Wink

jools you ok? did you sort the hotel thing out Shock

Thinking of you monkey and also moon

qa i hope none of the visitors looked behind the sofa or under the kitchen sink! Wink there are times when its easier just to shove things in places where you think people wont look...the microwave hides a fair bit when you are in a hurry and cant be bothered to tidy Grin

Waves to everyone else, hope you are all enjoying bonfire night, nothing going on here Sad times like this i miss the uk.....

OP posts:
mermaidspurse · 05/11/2010 16:20

barbie it is rainingSmile so damp squibs here.
ibs hmmmm I seem to know quite a few people who suffer with this, stress seems to play a big part. Glad you have your health plan.

There is no microwave big enough to hide my mess.

We have had mugs of proper hot chocolate made with posh chocolate and whispers creamSmile

cupcakefairy · 05/11/2010 17:32

Hi beauts...thanks for all your lovely words :)
louey yep this is the third time in 18 months dh has been 'a risk'...first time he was kept on, then last yr was made redundant the same wk we found out I was pg with ds Shock but thankfully found another job a few weeks later...now here we go again! There are a couple of hopeful looking opportunities in our area he's waiting to hear if he has an interview for but there are so many civil engineers looking for work, it's prob like trying to win the lottery! :(
At least ds is making me laugh... he's knocked down the arch of his playmat, got himself halfway under the coffee table and wrapped himself up in the mat just giggling and blowing raspberries HmmGrin

louey you will be fine. We're all there to hold your hand.

mermaid lol at no microwave big enough to hide your mess Grin I find all sorts of places to dump things then every now and then dh digs out big pile of junk mail/random shopping lists/books and makes this face at me Hmm
hope your ds feels better soon!

vjay & neeko woooo Grin gold stars. It is torture not eating nice things! may treat myself to a digestive with my cuppa in a minute as it's friday (ooh I'm living the dream me!)

Happy weekend ladies.

cupcakefairy · 05/11/2010 17:33

Lol, that was meant to be 'at risk', not a risk Grin
