Just came on for a catch up about an hour ago and got waylaid reading the old thread! so wonderful to think that so many of us are still here on our journeys supporting each other makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside it also made me a bit as I had my 3rd m/c a few weeks after the thread was started it was a bit bizarre reading old posts bit like someone else writing!
So I've given up on the catch up, apologies for being MIA but the easiest place for me to catch up is work and we've been so busy! How inconvenient

Wierdly, it seems to be medical week for us all! On Monday we are off to the Portland again to have the test to see if we'd need the same immunotherapy treatment in our next pregnancy.. Iv had my head in the sand a bit, have not used any contraception since Summer was born, but felt quite pragmatic about a potential bfp, in a what will be will be mode, however my SIL made it hit home that if we went onto have another mc it would be awful and Id kick myself that a simple, albeit expensive, test could of prevented it.. There is a chance the treatment we had for Summer could cover us for life, if not we would need to have another round, a very small price to pay in the scheme of things but obviously hoping we're coverd

Well the doctor we saw was THE loveliest doctor ever, I think we got lucky there, she was better than I could have hoped for. I was useless, I could hardly speak for crying so poor df sat and explained everything. The upshot is I have to have 2 sets of blood tests, some swabs taken and then a scan at the hospital, and df has to give a semen sample. I'm so pleased she has let us start doing things straight away, I'd googled beforehand and loads of people said they often get sent away and told to keep trying for another 6 months. I feel like we are actually doing something useful now and I feel loads better for it. Am still very worried about what they might find but at least then we will know, and we wont be trying in vain.

I think is definitely in order. Thank you so much again for being here I really dont know what I'd do without you all :)

Yay to lovely doctors moon I am so pleased that she has got a strong plan of action for you and your DF, who sounds like he was a real star today. Enjoy your weekend knowing that you have taken a good step in the right direction today. Well done you for going too and not chickening out! You should be proud of yourself.

IME the whole idea that someone else is getting involved and will guide us along takes so much of the pressure off. I really hope you feel a sense of relief today Do you have a time scale for the tests? Do you have to wait long for the scan? I hope not...

Barbie poor you not being able to use the computer much, must be driving you crazy! How are you doing about next week? Am so sorry that you're going through health worries, and really hope everything's okay. If it's any consolation I had a colonoscopy while they were investigating my endometriosis. It wasn't pleasant, but it was do-able iykwim. The worst bit tbh was taking the stuff beforehand to clean you out. It is really REALLY foul tasting, but I think the first time you have it is the easiest. I had to do it again before my lap, and really struggled to get it down that time.
Re the actual procedure, I found the best thing was just to resign myself to it, and to remember that these people have done it all before, many many times. By the time they get home that evening they won't even remember us! Any other questions then shout! xxx

Thanks for the good luck wishes for Monday 4ever I feel so relaxed about ttc now that I fear I might forget about the appt I'm just so relieved that we're going to be helped (hopefully!) and we are starting to enjoy nooky again, rather than it always being swi. I feel like we have this month and next month to relax, and then we'll know the results from Mondays scan and can get on with the PLAN.

Btw, we are off on holiday next Saturday, and I am SO excited! We're going to Tenerife, with my dad, and I can't wait Have had my packing list compiled since about December and am waiting for my dad to go tomorrow before I start the attack! I love packing!!!

Curly Glad you had such a lovely 1st birthday with curlygirl and that it gave you chance to reflect on a fantastic year. Curlygirl sounds like my DS, he never thought to get in to things really and was never a mischevious baby or toddler, still isn't really so keep your fingers crossed that curly girl stays the same, it's so much easier when you visit family members houses as you know they won't be touching everything. All the talk of the old threads, and I am, like louey , a relative newbie (nearly a year though made me think about how much you have all gone through. I know the sadness that I have felt with 1 early MC is a drop in the ocean for some of what you have had to cope with and yet you all continue to support each other in the various trials and tribulations over the last year since I have been here. It is testament to how strong some of you have been to be able to post on here with words of advice and support when your world has been turned upside down, especially in the last year for monkey and mermaid I would love to read back through sometime as for some of you, I have come along at the end once you were in your weebling/just had baby phases

Anyway, back to me Things improving family wise, had 2 different family members dealing with different bombshells, but things calming and less hectic now.
I am now on CD 15 of a UCL 26 (thanks for asking curly* I seem to be ovulating later and actually only got a strong positive OPK on Friday. Think I have been getting later, as always thought I ovulated earlier in my cycle. TMI, but not much ewcm so have overcome the and bought some conceive plus lubricant. Did I warn about TMI
