Hi ladies! Well shiny new laptop is here so hopefully I can pop on a lot more now! Yay!

Just a quick catch up as have BIL and SIL visiting at the mo...

Hello mermaid Grin

bq YAY for a boy!! We're definitely due another Emmsy boy; Jude is beginning to feel like a loner! Awww boys are so lovely you'll have loads of fun.

4ever eek to Summer cruising! Jude has just started pulling himself up to standing; it's pretty scary!! Happy 8 months to Summer too :)

What great news about choccie, hope she pops back in soon.

Hi moon- I LOVE baking prince Grin

louey poor love, it's only natural to worry but amazing that you can find the heartbeat :) are you going to find out whether it's pink or blue?? So sorry for your poor sis :( so sad. Really hope it still happens for them. A couple we know had IVF a few years ago and got their baby boy...but now have just had a baby girl naturally, completely unexpected and they're both in their 40s :) great stuff.

Hope all poor sick babies (and bigger babies!) feel better soon. Sorry to dash off... hopefully back tomorrow for more!

loueytb3 · 27/01/2011 10:25

4ever ooh - you're in gate heaven Grin. We still have them everywhere - mainly because otherwise Isaac would cause even more chaos than he does already. Do you think she will be walking soon?

cupcake You're going to have a cruising Jude very soon Smile - its not long after they pull up that they get on the move....

That's a lovely story about your friend. I've had a friend who needed IVF to get her twin boys and then had an "surprise" pg 18 months later. I think sometimes going through pg can get things going again. I wish that sort of thing would happen to my sis. However, she has very very few eggs left and doesn't appear to ovulate normally at all. IVF after all the drugs only resulted in 3 eggs which is very low so I think the chances of her getting pg on her own are slim to nil. We're not going to find out the sex although I'm sure I will waver before the scan. When I was pg with the DTs, our hospital would not tell you the sex. I assumed that we would find out because we had soooo many scans. At one scan, I thought I could see that one of them was a girl. So I thought I was having at least one girl and DH was convinced we were having 2 girls. You can imagine our surprise when we had 2 boys. DH was absolutely beside himself (he secretly really wanted a boy). Anyway, it was so much fun finding out when they were born that this time I don't want to know. Besides which I like to have 2 sets of names to argue over come up with. I am really in 2 minds what I would like. A boy would be good as we have all the stuff and I know what I'm doing. Plus it would make activities etc simpler when they are older. A girl would be nice so that I could go and buy some non-pink more clothes and have a shopping companion later on. Also, like vjay I will worry more if I have a boy as the risk of autism is much higher in boys than in girls.

QA have fingers crossed and pom-poms at a ready. Hormones can play mad tricks with you x

Thank you for calming me down - would you believe after I posted that, the little bugger angel started kicking me like mad as if to say "I am here, honest". Gaah Grin

Back to work (boo).

littlebellsmum · 27/01/2011 21:00

It's quiet here today! Great news on your kicking bean louey. BabyBelle didn't do much moving, was sent to test my patience I think.

All littlebells are better but daddybells isn't- and he had all three this evening as I had to work late. Looks like I'm on washing up duty this evening...

barbie1 · 28/01/2011 11:42

hello, hello, hello (echo's) tis very quiet again....

louey glad baby is kicking away, i know i used to panic every hour day due to having quiet periods, i think i drank gallons of cold pepsi to try to kick start the little one into moving Smile

lbm i forgot to say, feel free to pass on my contact details to your friend who are moving here, i would be more than happy to help if they need it. Tis very daunting landing in the sand pit and not knowing anyone...bet you are very excited for your hols...hope dh is feeling better now.

questionsagain ttc sucks (excuse the pun Wink)
We are here to moan to if needed, i know i felt like i was going out of my mind and defiantly the 'joy' of 'practicing' soon wore off...hope the ew stays away for both you and moon

blue feel free to suggest a few outfits for the lo on her birthday...i was thinking of a tutu and fairy wings for her party Grin
We want birthday girl pj's too if you stumble upon any...Its warm here about 25 but chilly later on and in the wind, so we need something that would still look cute with a cardi on if needed....so much choice!

Ive just ordered some cath kidston stylee bunting and table cloth, thinking shabby chic...competitive parenting is taking over i feel, i can see myself hiring a candyfloss machine and an ice cream van Grin

We have bought her this as she loves splashing in freddies bowl water and playing with sand.

As for her sleeping, i dont feed her until 5am now, she can settle for her wakings now Smile granted some still take a while and its hard but we are getting there....now if i could just get her to nap in her cot in the day.....Hmm

She is still being a little devil, some of you might of seen the fb video of her and her bff....so funny! She has now taken to giving Fred all of her food and climbing into bed with him...the trouble never ends!

4ever i find it so hard to work the stair gate Blush..the first few days i had to climb over as i couldnt get it open!

Eeek i have to go, back soon x

littlebellsmum · 28/01/2011 20:04

'lo, barbie thanks for offering to help my friend, I'll let you know.
Like the birthday present but bet she still prefers Freds bowl and Fred might like her sandpit!
Tutu and fairy wings sounds great. I've had some lovely PJ's from John Lewis . these are lovely but oos in 12 month size - really like the matching shoes. BabyBelle has these but they don't come in Dollys size

And you have now got me shopping again as there are some lovely bottoms, in the sale, in the next size.....

littlebellsmum · 28/01/2011 20:05

second link isn't working - they are vintage print ones

BlueMoon1981 · 28/01/2011 21:50

evening girls :)

just wanted to pop in to say hello and say sorry for being really useless at posting. i have been struggling for some time now and havent felt able to post even when i wanted to. have had a horrendous week at work - another lady announced her pregnancy, fell out with a colleague, my assistant wants to get a new job and thats not to mention how busy it is. this culminated in me getting home late from wotk tonight and sobbing my heart out to df and we had a big chat about everything which was long overdue, we have both been in denial about us not being able to conceive again, and anyway to cut a long story short, he has agreed he will come to the doctors with me next week to see if there is anything they can do to help us. we even touched on the subject adopting if things dont work out for us. i cant believe i ever doubted him, he is so lovely and i love him to bits. i know this is a big ramble and very me orientated but i wanted to say thank you for your continued support and give you the good news that you have all encouraged me for ages to bite the bullet and do. you are all wonderful ladies xxxxxx

BlueMoon1981 · 28/01/2011 21:51

must proof read, wotk = work Blush

barbie1 · 29/01/2011 03:35

blue i had goosebumps reading your post....i truly think that you will conceive and going to the doctors is the way forwards. Please let us know when you book so we can all be there for you...it's going to be fine, the first step is the hardest Smile

Oh and im sorry about work Sad, hope you have a better week this week.

lbm love the pj's. Dolly is still wearing 6-9 months clothes and in fact yesterday wore her white cardi that we bought to bring her home in Blush she still fits in 3-6 months old clothes but most look a little too babyish on her so she wears 6-9 even if there are a tad too big. She is still only 16lb...will have a look at jl web site, they look like they have nice stuff...my mum is coming out for the party so i can order and get her to bring stuff out Smile

We bought her a pair of converse all stars high tops, they look cool with her leggings Grin

I also thought i might get her a t shirt printed that says 'it's my party, i'll cry if i want too' for a back up when she gets totally filthy in the garden....

Breakfast time, gotta go...

moon I am so pleased, I guess it takes everything to build up in order to be able to sort it out. On the good side of things from the drs side there is no question that you havn't tried and tried and tried so they can't send you away to try somemore. You will get a moonplan So thinking about you both cos I can only begin to imagine how hard it was for you to get to this point. Thinking about you and dfGrin lots and lots.

barbie you made me laugh doing the stair gate olympicsSmile melt at baby converse and loving the t shirt idea.

lbm you popped out of my head the other day in my mamoth postBlush hopr dh is feeling better and you have a nice cosy weekend. Your holiday sounds utterly fantastic i want to go.
right pancakesSmile hope everyone has a good weekend

VJay · 29/01/2011 18:32

{{{{{ moon }}}}} onwards and upwards Smile

Sorry I'm a tinsy bit busy at the mo, normal posting should resume soon Smile

cupcakefairy · 29/01/2011 19:12

Bloody brilliant reading that moon :)
Just love love love to see that you and df are bonding and communicating even in just the crappiest of times. Marriage will be a doddle for you two Wink

Really hope things will go well at the docs and you can feel positive and bright about all this again. 2011 is your year lady, I know it. So sorry work has been crap but none of that will matter once you have your PLAN (copyright mermaid) and your eventual baybeeee :) loads of love to you xxx

louey good call on not finding out the flavour :) I loved the 'it's a boy!' moment too at the birth (even though dh, who had been assigned the job of telling me the sex, forgot to for like 5 minutes...I was going 'what is it what is it??')
My NCT friend who has the twins also was convinced she was having at least one girl but she has two boys :)

barbie loving all the outfit party planning :) cannot believe it's been a year!! Lots of emmsy graduate birthdays coming up!

Well I hit my aim of 10 stone last week, and got down to 9st12 yesterday! So I am giving myself a break for a while as my bridesmaid dress will be too big at this rate!! Grin Dh is baking up a storm in the kitchen for my bf's baby boy's dedication day tomorrow so I am off to 'sample' Grin

BlueMoon1981 · 29/01/2011 19:59

thank you so much for your lovely replies :) after i posted, tew arrived, just the icing on the sodding cake that! but i feel ok about it. is there anyone who can give me a heads up of what we should expect at the doctors please?

MummysLittleSunbeams · 29/01/2011 20:55

Hello ladies, remember me? My laptop broke just after Christmas - the hard-drive went & I lost everything, all my photo's from the last four years included. Thank goodness for Facebook as I put my fave photo's on there. I've only had my updated laptop for about a week now.

All is well in my neck of the woods. DD1 is being a little monkey & dd2 is an absolute gem. She went in her hanging baby bouncer & her bumbo for the first time today. All of her lovely baby hair has fallen our (apart from the strip around the base of her head which makes her look like a little old man!) so she's very much a baldy just like her big sis was. BF'ing seems to be going well but I've started giving her a bottle of formula at bedtime in readiness for me having to give up bf'ing at six months & in the deluded hope that it'll make her sleep through!

Right I'm off for a quick catch up & I'll be back.

It's so good to be posting again! Smile

MummysLittleSunbeams · 29/01/2011 21:02

Moon hello you, so glad you are going to the docs with your df. You are doing the right thing, they will probably want to do some blood tests but may have to do them at a particular time of the month such as 21 days into your cycle. Hopefully now you are breathing a sigh of "ahhhhh I'm doing something about it", things will happen naturally.

mermaidspurse · 29/01/2011 21:10

Write it all down moon. Cos you get in there and your brain will go blank. Tell them you have tried the sit back and relax approach the at it like rabbits approach and the scientific approach. Throw in some luteal phases and basal temps lingo and they won't mess around. CAnt do smileys cos on my iPod. May be worth starting a thread in conception and ask mAybe lovely.
Nice end to a really horrible week rick stein fish and chips and a bottle of plonk in front the fire.

MummysLittleSunbeams · 29/01/2011 21:21

Yay BQ so happy for a good scan for you & the news you are expecting a boy. Right, names.....

Barbie, how are things on the sleep front for you now? (Sorry have not read back much on the thread yet so you've probably already said it all).

CurlyLikesShortShorts · 29/01/2011 22:07

waves to mls

Hello lovelies :) I've been looking after our poor wee sick curlygirl all day while DH was off at football so am now on the couch watching a dvd after a scrummy dinner Grin

Yay for bqs scan and another boy :)

moon I smiled so wide reading your post. Your df sounds lovely (as expected of someone that gets to marry you :) ). As mermaid says, write it down and talk through with df beforehand. If your gp is anything like mine, the only thing he can cope with is facts Biscuit. This is such a positive step for you.

I'm in total awe of your weightloss cupcake you skinny minnie :) Hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow.

lbm I love those pjs. Curlygirl has just grown out of the same ones!!

Barbie lol at dolly's clothes being too babyish on her Grin I can't believe that our girls are nearly 1. curlygirl is very close to walking by herself and talks constantly - I don't know when she got so big. She breaks my heart with happiness she's so gorgeous :)

louey sounds like that bean is a girl - she's naughty :)

mermaid lovely to see ya in the greenhouse. I'm looking forward to going back and reading your mammoth post. Hope you are enjoying the fish and chips. Sorry if I've missed it because I've only read this page so far but why so horrible a week? Are you okay lovely?

I can't wait to catch up with you all... and if I don't do it now before I go back to work, you may never hear from me again Hmm

VJay · 30/01/2011 19:03

Hello Smile

mls lovely to see you back Smile, I lovely a lovely mental image of your baldy dd2 Smile. I had to cut Ajays hair this weekend , but I only trimmed a little around his ears and at the back, but he does look like a proper cheeky little boy now.

moon I don't heve anything wlse to add really, but love mermaids suggestion of telling them that you've tried EVERYTHING and throwing in the lingo too, else they'll tell you to come back in 6 months if still no joy!

cupcake well done on your fabulous weight loss, that is brilliant. I have lost 7lbs this month, and between an inch and 2 inches off various parts Smile.

It's been a bit hectic in VJay land, dh bought home a friend from work who had nowhere to live, he's now found somewhere to live and all will be ok for him. It's been very Sad for him, but he's on his way up now Smile

VJay · 30/01/2011 19:05

mls that was meant to say 'I have a lovely...'

moon that was meant to say ' I don't have anything else...'

See I'm stressed!!!

loueytb3 · 30/01/2011 19:51

moon I'm sorry you had such a rough week but like so many of us, I'm really really pleased that you are going to the Drs. And that DF is going with you as they are less likely to fob you off. I think mermaid's advice is spot on and I hope that you get a sympathetic ear and some action. What they will do varies from place to place, some GPs just refer you on and don't do any tests themselves, others will do some simple blood tests first.

mls poo to you losing all your photos but yay to having a new laptop and being back on MN Grin. Please get a portable hard drive and back up all your stuff so you don't lose it all again. DS2 had the friar tuck look for quite a while before his hair grew properly. Hope DD1 settles down again soon. Its just a phase (as they say....)

cupcake am very Envy at you being under 10 stone as I don't think I will ever be again Confused. Very well done you. Hope the dedication went well today Smile

and to the increasingly svelte vjay too. That's fab - 7lbs in a month. I bet you will need lots of new clothes soon Grin. How lovely of you to put up your DH's workmate especially as you have enough to deal with.

curly what's up with curlygirl??? Hope she gets better soon. Its lovely when they start chatting away. When are you back to work?

mermaid now that we know that bq is having a boy, we need some splendericious mermaid boys names for baking prince Grin Hope the wine helped after your yuck week. We're here if you want to talk....

barbie love the sandpit Dolly will have great fun with it - we have the same one (in blue) for the boys. THey are a bit big for it now so we're thinking of getting a bigger sandpit for them in the summer (poss from the baby).

lbm are all your bells fit and well and have you got any money left after researching clothes for barbie Grin

We have poorly boys Sad - I think its just a cold but Isaac has a really high temp tonight so I'm keeping a close eye on him. I have a feeling that one of us may be staying home from work tomorrow.

bluesatinsash · 31/01/2011 13:36

Hello Smile,

Lunchtime work catch up after busy weekend. Just munching on some nuts (good slow release energy, keeping me away from sweetie machine).

Talking of which well done cupcake and Vjay on the weight loss, fantastic Smile. Hope you're allowing some treats now and again.

Moon - feeling excited and relieved and onwards and upwards for you and your DF. Its been a long time coming and really hope its only a short hop, skip and a jump to parenthood Smile

MLS - lovely to see you back and saw your Shock post on FB about your laptop. I had to retrieve a photo from FB too which I was relieved about. I'm still old fashioned and print my photos out for albums so if PC does melt I have hard copies. What the latest with your consultant?

Vjay - what a lovely kind thing for you and your DH to do for his colleague, hope he gets on his feet soon. at you cutting Ajay's hair. I'm letting B's hair grow long as its poker straight and really suits him in a shaggy 70's vibe way. DS1's hair has to be kept short as its thick and wavy and just kerazy if it gets too long.

mermaid - Envy at your rick Stein chippie. So is it with salt and sauce down your way Wink? Or is that a Scottish (read heart attack)thing? hope this week is easier for you and check you with your i-phone Grin

barbie - loved the Dolly and Barnabay clip Grin. LBM's jammie link was lovely, you could also try very sweet pj's here for Dolly. I love converse - have several pairs myself and going to buy some for boys summer hols.

louey - hope Isaac is feeling better. Like cupcake I didn't know sex of either of my boys and wouldn't have had it any other way. Not knowing was so exciting and had doctors all prepped that DH was to tell me if I had a son or daughter, and unveiling the sex was magical Smile. You would have thinked I would have know DS2 was a boy the amount of scans I had but never once noticed his teeny tiny weaner Grin. I have a hunch you are having a girl but I was 100% right with DS1 and 100% wrong with DS2 so what the hell do I know! when are you thinking of finishing up work? how long are you taking off? How is your sister this week?

LBM - how's the holiday prepping going?

curly - hope curlygirl is much better. What are you doing for her b'day? When are you back at work? Are you going back part-time? Will we lost you forever when you do Sad? I'm lucky can catch up on lunch break but do feel a bit guilty as we're only supopsed to access work related websites - but hey - its not facebook!!

Not much news from bluetowers. Having a girls night in 'chez moi' on friday. Boys are going to grannies and my friend is bringin 'singstar' round. Cue 10 drunk mothers trying to sing 'total Eclipse of the Heart' or - even worse - Lady Ga Ga. I may have to warn the neighbours (and I live in a detached houseGrin).

monkeybumsmum · 31/01/2011 13:44

Hello from me Smile

Been poorly, so not been up to posting, but am out of bed today, and trying to eat something, so thought would post quickly to say I have been thinking about you all!

Louey sorry to hear Isaac's not well, I saw your pic on FB, and he did look v flushed! Hope he's better soon x

VJay Sad for your dh's workmate, but he's lucky to have such lovely caring people to help him out. Was he staying with you? You are just brill Smile Well done on the weight loss too!

Curly sorry to hear that curlygirl's been poorly too, is she a bit better now? Hope so!

Moon your df sounds fab, and it's great that he's going with you, it makes such a difference to go as a team. I hope your doctor is lovely, but if not, don't allow yourself to be pushed around. My last gynae was terrible, and made me feel like I was doing something wrong by knowing what was happening with my cycle. Mermaid is right - you should deffo make a list with everything that is bothering you. I would expect them to either refer you (not sure how it works in UK), or at least to do a Day 3 blood test (to check your FSH, LH and prolactin levels) and then a Day 21 blood test to see if you are ovulating. Any questions then shout, we have been through lots of tests, so I might be able to help! When is your appointment? Lots of luck, and remember we will be with you in spirit!!!

MLS Lovely to see you back, but Sad re your photo's. Thank goodness for FB hey.

I have to go as the cleaning lady needs me out of the kitchen, sorry if I haven't managed to catch up with very many of you... Lots of love to you all, will be back soon! xxx

monkeybumsmum · 31/01/2011 13:45

X post, hello Blue Smile

loueytb3 · 31/01/2011 14:35

Hello Smile

blue I'm very Envy at your girls night in with SingStar. Sounds like a fabby night to me. Isaac was much better this morning, temp has gone and because he was in bed at 5.30pm last night, he was wide awake and in our bed at 5.30am this morning as was LukeConfused. Luke can lie quite still but Isaac is a wriggly worm so there was no chance of getting any more rest once he was up. Consequently I'm now knackered! I'm planning until working until 23rd May - I've got no holiday left so will be straight into maternity pay. I am going to take the full year and I will then have a month or so of accrued holiday to take as well. I'm planning on another c-section so that is likely to be around 22nd June (39 wks) so I will hopefully have a month off before the baby arrives. I do know that this time if it gets too much I will get myself signed off. Having had prem and very little babies who were in SCBU last time round, I don't want the risk of having a small baby again. I am already getting grief from my mum about how much I'm doing. This was after I said I had signed the boys up for swimming lessons on my afternoon off from work. I did point out that it was easier taking them to lessons than taking them in the water myself...

monkey poorly you Sad I hope you feel better soon. Lots of bugs around at the moment (I know, its that time of year...)

moon to add to the blood tests that monkey has mentioned, they may well want your DF to do a sperm sample. Might want to forewarn him cos I know it can take men a while to get their heads around it.

QA how was your weekend away??? Am hoping that TEW has stayed away....

I am freezing, my office thermostat has gone (again) and I'm waiting for them to fix it. I don't appear to have enough warm winter maternity clothes and even though its still January, all the bloody shops have switched to summer stuff!!! Have finally managed to track down a black cardigan online which will hopefully do the trick. I don't understand all those people who say its great being pg during the winter as the baby keeps you warm. Mine seem to suck all the blood out of my extremities and I have permanently cold arms and legs Confused
