Does anyone want a box of 10 chinese lanterns - I bought them to use them for anniversaires but DH is very against tham and I've just found the box in the garage - happy to post them if anyone would like them?

And yes, guess what I've been doing today? Tidying the garage!!
Hope you've all had more fun than me!

QuestionsAgain · 16/01/2011 21:06

Hi, a quick hello from me Smile

Hope you are all well and have had a good weekend.

Have occasionally lurked this week, but have been so busy, I am hoping to catch up properly with the thread this week as have a bit of a quieter week ahead, but then another busy weekend. Will attempt a catch up from memory...!

Have stuck with my original name for now, thanks for the suggestions. Vjay was quite tempted by the porn one Grin

I am POAS, but only for ovulation at the mo after a BFN last month. Think I am actually about to ovulate, (bit later this month) got lighter positive OPK earlier and going to try again again soon to see if its any darker. Confused

barbie saw that you have not been well, hope you get some answers and start to feel better soon, same goes for Louey's MIL

LBM your trip sounds amazing, Very Envy

cupcake great that your DS is enjoying finger food and a relief for you that he is no longer gagging on it

Monkey Hope you and your Ds enjoyed your 'research trip' Did you give each place marks out of ten?! Yay to holiday planning Smile Glad that you got through this week ok and like 4ever found a special way to mark the day. Hugs to you for next week too.

Sorry for no more personals, but really have to go, literally Grin

bluesatinsash · 17/01/2011 11:03

Morning all Smile

Another luker here, been keeping up to date but no time to do nice long post, work is getting busy again and my new gym routine doesn't allow for evening posts. It's hard to fit it all in!

Anyhoo, I'm having a cuppa at my desk so thought I'd use the time to post.

QA so its dust down the come hither look time again Smile. Here's a dumper truck full of babydust heading your way, try not to sneeze now Smile

LBM - why does your DH not like lanterns? did he have a bad experience in chinatown one night Grin? your campervan holiday in OZ sounds fantastic, I take my hat off to you for doing it with 3 children and one under one!! Babybelle sounds like she just goes with the flow which is no bad thing. Being the youngest of three I can relate Grin

4ever - had a Smile at Summer having 'mad professor hair' like your DDad. I love her spikey hair, its lush. My spending is on hold this month as I used my Christmas money to by a side table for the new room. It was half price in the Laura Ashley sale! Their sales are brilliant. Have already sneaked a peek at Mini Boden though and have ear marked a good few things for the boys.

cupcake - glad Jude is enjoying his finger food Smile. I remember when B started having pasta and it dissapeared off his tray, I assumed it was underneath and all squidged up, took him out not one piece anywhere, all in his tumm, clever boy Smile. He wolfed roast chicken and gravy last night, chopped small and picked up by those pudgy hands of his.

louey - been thinking about you and hoping you get to the bottom of what's wrong with your MIL. If its any comfort my MIL took ill on 1st Dec. She had the boys that day and by evening could not remember anything. Had to have brain scan etc. as we first feared stroke (she's only 63)but it turned out to be v. low blood sugars and she is on strict instructions to eat better (my FIL works in Aberdeen during the week so she tends to live on sarnies). Gave us all a big fright, poor DH was distraught as he couldnt get to her as it was the week of heavy snow. We phoned her neighbours and they kindly sat with her until the ambulance came.. Does your sister find out this week??

Vjay - did the doc give you any tips and advice on managing Ajay's nut reaction? My heart still feels in my mouth for you thinking about it. Read two chapters of Half-blood prince last night - I'm on a roll Smile

barbie - the vid clip of Dolly was just lovely Smile. i'm really worried about you though. My friend at work was diagnosed with Crohns two years ago. It is like most things you can have it mild or very severe, praying you are on the mild side of the spectrum if it is indeed Crohns.. hope you've got some rest now your Dh is back x

Iggy - I know we 'spoke' on your other thread so 'Hi' again and good luck with the solids and sleep x

curly - hope you are all on the mend! Is your water back on?? How's the pre-work organising going? Who will be looking after curlygirl?

monkey - I think going out for a meal is a lovely way to celebrate your Mum. It is her birthday, will always be and as 4ever says, should be remembered thus. Will be thinking about you this week and already sending you a huge hug for Wednesday. your wee stories of you and DS always make me Smile. He is a lucky boy having you! any more thoughts on holdiays? Agree with barbie Cyprus is lovely but can be v. hot. what about the Baleric islands? Ibiza gets a great rep. no seriously it does if you stay away from obvious places..

I'm already in count down mode to Majorca (24 weeks on Friday). Its given DH and me a good kick up the arse to get fit, get some new clothes and for me to colour co-ordinate the boys to within an inch of their lives Grin. I'm already thinking pastel pink polo shirts for dinners out. Just hope 'bum shuffler extraordinaire' Ben is walking by then as he is a tonne weight to carry these days.

Right, tea finished, back to work.

bigs waves to neeko, MLS, Sabs, Buddha, Moon, BQ and anyone else I've missed.

mermaid we miss you Sad

QuestionsAgain · 17/01/2011 12:40

Blue your catch up post put mine to shame Blush I need to write things down to have half a chance of catching properly. 24 weeks will go by so fast. Holidays are a great excuse for retail therapy.

Lol at come hither look, have perfected it this month Wink especially as I have actually ovulated later than expected, so need to keep it up a bit longer as I did get a very strong positive OPK last night. DH deserves a gold star for his efforts this last week, couple of more days and I will let him rest Grin

vjay blue's post reminded me that there was a great Q&A session On MN with a top allergy specialist sometime last year, might be worth a look before you go to see Ajay's consultant.

meant to ask yesterday how you are doing MLS? did you get any more info from your consultant? Keep thinking about you and hoping all is ok.

Hope everyone has had a good start to the week Smile

VJay · 17/01/2011 16:05

Hiya lovelies Smile

blue the doctor couldn't really tell me much, but she did say that the paeds will beable to advice me better, we just have to avoid all nuts for now.

qa I like your nice and 'tamee name Grin. I will hunt down the Q&A session thanks Smile

Gotta go, I've got a whingy Ajay...

VJay · 17/01/2011 16:06

'tame', not tamee!!!!!

QuestionsAgain · 17/01/2011 16:45

Vjay 'Tamee' sounds like you are going all 'yoof' on us innit Grin

VJay · 17/01/2011 17:54
Grin
Neeko · 18/01/2011 09:17

Hi all. Sorry I've not been on. have been lurking occasionally at work and on my kindle, but there never seems to be a moment to post these days. Sad

Barbie really hope your health worries get sorted. How's the sleep going? Things so much better here since we did extinction, but still rising at 5!

Vjay you're doing a sterling job of keeping this thread going. Wish i could chat to you more.

QA Go! GO! GO!!!

Monkey thinking of you this week. Hoping you'll soon have two lines on a test to allow you to focus on the future.

Blue and LBM The holidays sound fab and will be here before you know it. Bet you'll both be looking svelte and scrummymummylicious.

Cupcake happy new puter. Hope your boy is allowing you some 'me' time.

Aargh! H is wake. was hoping to write so much more but have to go. Love to all.

littlebellsmum · 18/01/2011 10:05

Hurrah neekos back. Life as a working mum is a bit busy isnt it? But what is "extinction"?
Hope H lets you get back on later...

loueytb3 · 18/01/2011 14:26

Hello! Will attempt an update before I pretend to start work Wink

Hi neeko I can imagine the juggling you must be doing. Glad the sleep has improved cos I can't imagine going back to work on a small amount of sleep. I'm with LBM though I don't know what extinction is either. I didn't know you could read MN on your kindle. Hmm might persuade me to get one since DH seems adamant that I'm not getting an ipad as its too expensive (meany).

vjay when is your appt with ajay's consultant. Horrible you have to wait when you just want answers.

QA big gold star to you and your DH on the bd'ing efforts Grin. Have pom-poms at the ready for you Wink

blue I'm a little Envy at your holiday but loving the countdown already. I always think a holiday is good for motivating you to get fit, not that you need to mind as you are a goddess already Grin. LOL at colour co-ordinating the boys. Tomorrow is test day for my sister. She has some symptoms (tiredness, sore boobs, couple of bouts of dizziness) but is on so many drugs that it could equally be due to that. Really hope they are symptoms and she gets that bfp.

LBM camper van - you are a mad and brave lady. Mind you, I did the caravan/camping thing years ago and really do like my nice hotels now. We've done the Perth/Broome trip (before dcs) and it was fab. Your trip sounds wonderful. Melbourne is one the cities I haven't been to - watched one of the relocation down under the other night and it was in Melbourne and it looked fab. The problem with watching those programmes is that it always makes me want to emigrate...

cupcake yay to new laptop and more MN'ing Smile. Glad J has got the hang of finger foods - its horrible when they are gagging. Have you babyproofed everything yet??

barbie how are you?? Dolly sounds like my niece - into everything. She has done some fairly disastrous things with lipsticks and nail varnish....Really hope you are managing to get a bit more rest now that DH is back and that they get to the bottom of you probs asap.

monkey how did the party venue hunt go? Sounded like a great idea (apart from the cost), I bet DS had a fab time! We've booked DTs party for the end of March already - its in a hall with activities/food etc laid on. Its probably going to be a star wars theme (and princesses to make sure the girls have a easy outfit). DS2 is currently telling me he wants a red light sabre like Darth Vader....

BQ how are things? You must have your 20wk scan coming up soon.

Waves and hugs to 4ever, MLS, curly, iggy, jools, mermaidpleasecomeandletusknowyouareok and the several other Emmys's I have no doubt missed (sorry!)

MIL news - she is being discharged today Smile. They still haven't found what's wrong although due to a lack of Drs they don't seem to have done much since last Friday Confused. She is coming back in 2wks as an outpatient and I think the plan is to do a colonoscopy. We are a bit worried that they have discharged her without finding out the problem but she is desperate to get home as she is feeling much better.

Otherwise, am ok, aside from being knackered and still having days when I feel constantly nauseous. Really want the blooming phase to arrive now. Have been trying to finish a letter of complaint to Isaac's useless speech therapists although how much effect it will have I have no idea. DH's birthday today but we are not doing anything special and (shock confession) I have not yet written his birthday card

QuestionsAgain · 18/01/2011 20:49

louey Good luck to your sister tomorrow, would be lovely for you to enjoy being pregnant together. Happy birthday to your Dh too, I am sure he understands how much you are trying to juggle whilst still feeling rough and knows that you are growing the best present Grin really hope you start to feel brighter soon. Good news that your MiL is well enough to go home but a bit Hmm that they haven't found out whats wrong due to staffing.

Neeko you sound too busy, hope you're ok and finding a bit of time to catch your breath.

LBM I wondered what extinction is too Confused Grin

Is anyone else watching the new series of One born every minute? I managed to watch it last night after tearing myself away from the millennium trilogy books, started them and am truly hooked!

littlebellsmum · 18/01/2011 21:11

Fingers crossed for your sister, louey - really she sees that blue line
Good that MIL is home too - hopefully they'll get to the bottom of it soon

And as for blooming - I don't ever really rember getting to that phase last time. Hope you at least stop feeling tired and sick.
Got to go things to do...

barbie1 · 19/01/2011 04:04

Hello,

Im been way too tired to even post...and i have my cool new phone to do it on too Hmmi shall have to get to grips with posting on my phone as i often sit on the car while the bambino sleeps and it would give me the perfect 45 mins to catch up.....

Thanks for all your kind words re my illness, as i just said im really tired and a few bouts of stomach cramps but other than that im fine. Dont know too much about crohns, blue probably knows more about it than me! and im not scaring myself by googling because for all i know it might not even be that. louey what ever your mil had, her treatment saids very much like mine Shock the drips, the pains, and now having to go back to for a colonoscopy too....Now that i did google and im dreading it muchly...

neeko welcome back! Smile sleep had greatly improved, with only getting up at 4.30am for a small feed and then back to bed, but since daddy had come home we have regressed somewhat Confused my neighbour has my book but i shall be going to get it back later so i can refresh my memory and give myself a moral boost. Hope you arent finding work/ family/ life too hard x

louey i have everything crossed for your sister, i know she isnt an emmsy but she feels very much part of this thread and i wish her all the luck in the world.

monkey did you find a venue for C? i wish Dolly was at an older age cos soft play seems like an easier idea for a party Grin we currently have 45 guest turning up for a bbq which they are expecting to go on through the night Hmm
We have decided that babies only 1-3pm and then the non baby quest can arrive later and Dh and i will have to to celebrate surviving the first year! Smile

Back soon to finish...

loueytb3 · 19/01/2011 11:15

monkey {{{HUGS}}}} to you today. There are lots of hands ready and waiting as 4ever has said so eloquently. Thank you 4ever for reminding us.

Am on tenterhooks waiting for text from my sister - eek!!

barbie {{{HUGS}}} your post sounds tired IYSWIM. Really hope you get some rest and Dolly gets back to only waking up once. I guess having DH back has just thrown her routine a bit. I think the not knowing what is going on is the worst bit - plays with your mind. Don't forget you are going to be tired anyway with D to look after and having been ill (whatever has caused it). Lots of R&R for you x

QA OBEM is my guilty pleasure but as I can only watch it when DH is out, I am still getting through the Christmas programmes. It is definitely swinging me towards having another ELCS though. I cry every time the baby is born.

Vjay I have been reading the kindle thread on here and now I want one. God I am such a gadget queen...it was the person who said that they could read whilst bf'ing that made me think it would be a good idea. Still badgering DH for an ipad for my birthday though Grin after all he does still owe me a christmas present.

LBM I naively thought that being pg with one would be easier...at this stage with the DTs I was definitely blooming. Think age must have a lot to do with it, either that or I'm having a girl....

Must go and do some work. Wish my sister would hurry up and text
