Morning Neeko - babyBelle has deceided to copy Dolly and H and for the last 3 days is being a nightmare at night. Last night she was up from 1 to 5 and would not settle.
Just after Christmas she slept through for 2 nights and then the last 3 have been hideous. We also let her cry it out a couple of times last night but had to give in as I couldn't take lying there listening to her crying. She's also had rubbish sleep during the day recently, mainly due to us being busy, and so today, she is having her naps when she should, her meals on time and tonight she is going to sleep.
Good to hear that H managed to settle her self and I've seen from facebook that Buddhas boy is also responding to controlled crying.
Nice name changes by the way - think I'll change mine when I take the tree down!!

Like neeko - we managed to stay up til the bells, but man was I tired the next day!

Have had a lovely festive break (your days out sounded just wonderful LBM, hope babybelle sleeps better tonight). DH is back at work tomorrow, I'm back on Friday (nice wee one day week pour moi ).

Writing this on my new laptop , pressie from DH amongst other lovely things, Summer and I were royally spoilt, house now resembles a toyshop! Her 1st Christmas was all a bit hectic, though great, but felt like we were hardly at home what with all the visits to family, so agree with curly quite nice to resume normality now! Felt sad at NYE to say goodbye to the best year of our lives, the one Summer arrived in! DH back to work today so feel a bit bereft after all our time together!

Summer has been amazing, crawling everywhere, chatting non stop, including mum mum mum ,melt. and also pulling herself up to standing on anything she can reach! We had to drop her cot in her room, shes pulling up on the sofa,I swear she'll be climbing onto it soon,we have nicknamed her Edmunda Hillary! We got cot 3 in our room as cant bear to put her in her room still and she totally out grew her crib! Was sad putting away that and her baby stuff, like her playmat, carrycot part of her pram (got the pushchair part on now), as well as various clothes and my 1st christmas stuff! She is getting so big, think we will have an early walker on our hands..!

Anyway lovelies,thats my update, she is stirring, will be back to catch up with you all properly asap, much easier now i have this laptop!

Just added some pics of Summer with her most special christmas pressies, her Weebles and Mermaid! Also one of big girl standing after pulling herself up on her walker!

neeko Sorry you have been having such trouble with H and her sleeping, hopefully it is settling back down now. I am impressed you managed to stay up late NYE especially with so little sleep recently. On the plus side, maybe it is H's excitement at her newfound standing skills that is keeping her up at night Fingers crossed that this week is much better sleep wise.

LBM sounds like you have been through it too, sleepwise. Maybe the Emmsy's babies are all in it together and there is some plot to keep you all awake Fingers crossed that things have improved for you too.

Blue Can't believe you are 40 this year, you look nothing like 40 at all I seriously would have put you down as late 20's/early 30's. Great to have a 40th to plan though, are you having a party?

Blue and Vjay thanks for asking about the 2ww, yep I was at the end of it, had tried a few sneaky tests over the last couple of days , BFN, and then AF started today, so no luck this month. Feel , but practical side tells me it is early days, though I was very quick with DS and my last pregnancy, so I suppose sub consciously I was expecting the same. Didn't help that DS chose today to ask if we were going to have another baby and could we have one by September? He starts school in September, so has September in his mind at the moment. He said he wants to 'help change nappies, read to a baby and reach things for it' I had a very big frog in my throat answering him and just about managed to hold it together to tell him we hadn't decided what was going to happen this year and quickly changed the subject to talk about holidays. On the up side, i am going to tuck in to my Christmas bottle of Baileys tonight, guilt free!

DH is off to see new Harry P film tonight with his brother as I've still not finished book 6 and refuse to see films until I have read books.. meh..

We're watching recording of last night's big fat quiz of the year...love watching this every year

Sounds like you all had lovely festive seasons :) we had a lovely time away too but was glad to get home after more than a week- Jude's sleep was just rubbish while we were away and he ended up in our bed every night so we didn't get much sleep. However, he did absolutely love being around so many people and was just so happy and cute the whole time. 4ever Jude is properly crawling too; it suddenly happened over the 2 weeks of Christmas and now he can zoom around so quickly it's quite scary! (and cute!)
On Christmas day though he managed to whack a tealight that was on the hearth and get hot wax all over his hands- I didn't get to him fast enough :( it was horrible; I panicked and ran his hands under cold water for ages while he screamed but he didn't seem to be burned thankfully. Lesson learned- no candles on the hearth!! (I know it sounds ridiculous that we had them there but he had literally started properly crawling that day...meh)

In other news we are now mixed feeding quite successfully :) Jude seems perfectly happy with it and guzzles his bottles down. the plan is to cut down to just a first thing in the morning breast feed by mid-March.

LBM your christmas & new year sounded so lovely- dh and I want to steal your idea of looking through the year's photos with dc on NYE :) also LOVED the image of you and dd1 reading on sofa under a blanket sharing sweeties... that is why I want a dd someday!

Amazon keep recommending 'The Help' to me based on other stuff I've bought; maybe I should read it :) I'm currently near the end of Kate Morton's The Distant Hours and really enjoying it- she really knows how to write a good family mystery!

Neeko Thanks for the lovely text on NYE Sorry to read that things have been tough, and that the girls have been poorly. You must be absolutle shattered looking after them, and sorting out Christmas stuff. How are you doing?

DH due back shortly, and he mustn't find me on MN All ok here, had a bit of a moment on NYE which was tough, but we're through and into dreaded January, which holds my mums b'day and 1 year anniversary. Am trying to keep really busy. Also, went to have my appt at the fertility clinic, and they were fab! Lovely doctor who said she'll do whatever she can to help us get pg. Am having ultrasound next month, and then follow up appt in March. Will either need another laparoscopy depending on what they find, or will go straight onto fertility drugs, hcg shot and timed bd/IUI. Am trying to contain any excitement I may feel, as you just never know what's round the corner.

Best go, but lots of love to all of you, and a big wave and hug for anyone I haven't mentioned. In amongst my list of resolutions is spending more time keeping up with this thread - hope I can keep it!

Oh BQ you must be terrified Reading your post reminded me of someone else whose GP couldn't find the heartbeat, and the baby was just in a tricky position and all was well. I so hope that it's the same with your little one. How many weeks are you now? Do you have any idea how long the wait will be? Will keep checking back...
