moon just to echo 4ever, there is a bfp with your name on it. Msybe feeling empty is your way of not getting your hopes up every month???

4ever but what if you have twins next time round Grin Grin Grin You can imagine how much stuff we have. Our loft is full but I refused to throw anything away until we knew if we were going to have any more and how many. Re epic post - its the least I could do after you've all been so fab in supporting me Smile

Sausage and mash for tea Grin and a night on the sofa

bluesatinsash · 16/11/2010 20:40

Just a quickie post to add my 'pheeeeew' to louey Smile. Loved cupcakes post about you giving hope to new newly pg ladies in a few months time who have early bleeding.. Its just sooo stressful though, bloody knicker checking every minute of the day for weeks... I remember having 12 week scan with DS1 and bleeding the next day. That morning waiting to get another scan was sheer torture as we'd told everyone the night before and I'm so so supersticious and was so angry at myself for daring to believe. All OK though and he's now a bouncing 4.5 year old Smile.

Wonder what it must be like to sail though a pg with no scares Hmm Envy..

Moon - echo what the others say. Please, please go to Docs and talk it all through. A simple blood test may be all that is needed. Even seeing doc and feeling looked after can be all that's needed for our minds to tell our bodies to get to it...

Back at work tomorrow so will do big catch up on lunch break x

littlebellsmum · 16/11/2010 23:13

Hurrah for loeuybean - holding in there and stessing his mum ( and yes, I hate tio say it but I think it;s another boy!)

4ever I know - where has the time gone? Still haven't weaned Jo - she isn't looking for it and I'm too lazy busy - not sure how I'm going to fit it in.
And she's not moving or anything - but is happy and last week slept through. However she has now developed an 11pm cough that keeps her awake and is really affecting her/ our sleep. But she'll get it sorted in the end and is such a happy little soul that even night waking isn't bothering me. Major achievement today as for the first time I didn't have to wash the wraps when the nappies came home from nursery - her poo was contained!!

sabs what a great weight loss! I too am at Slimming world, started in mid September and have lost 1 stone so far. Did only maintain this week but tbh, I've been a bit away with the faires with it this week and so am just happy I didn't gain!

Got to go - work calls ( and then sleep...)

BuddhaBelly · 17/11/2010 11:01

Thank goodness louey that all is ok Smile I couldn't wait to get on today to make sure everything was ok so at least I can Smile for the rest of the day now.
Barbie & I both had placenta previa, my first bleed with it was at 15 weeks, but not sure how early it's possible to detect? Perhaps get them to check at the 12 week scan, although I have to say they didn't notice mine at that one Hmm
Moon Sad I wish I could make both you and Jools magically pg myself Hmm you have both waited for so long and I understand how difficult it must be for you. I know before I had a successful pg that I was on a mixed thread and I went through stages of wanting to post and stepping back, it's hard and we do all appreciate what you are going through but all the sympathies in the world won't compensate for that baby Sad I hope this doesn't come across as patronising I just wanted you to know that I do think about you both a lot x

cupcakefairy · 17/11/2010 11:23

Hi ladies,
Just had to add my Grin for Louey and givemoon a massive hug.
Moon honey... please don't give up hope. Am I right in thinking BQ's lost lo was before both of yours? And now she is well on her way to a successful pregnancy and conceived naturally. It WILL happen my lovely, and it will be at just the right time. You are still so young too. Have a blue style shoulder squeeze from me and thanks for sticking around with us all; we love you!

cupcakefairy · 17/11/2010 11:56

Finally managed to upload a couple of christening pics! Can't believe how long it takes me Blush (I always have to resize the pics cos they're too big!)

barbie1 · 17/11/2010 13:08

ouch!!!!

12hours into going cold turkey on boobie feeding! ouch! ouch! just expressing a full bottle full, mum is doing the whole bottle battle tonight, we are are with 3 different milks Hmm

If she takes the bottle its the end of breast feeding Sad so....what do i do with my milk Confused do i just drain it off.

Sorry ill be back later to do personals x

OP posts:
Neeko · 17/11/2010 14:08

Hi
Grin again for louey

Hug for Moon

Lovely pics Cupcake

Slow down Jools

Great weight loss Sabs and LBM

Great weight gain Kitty Smile

Barbie express enough to stop mastitis and cut down gradually. Might be best to freeze your milk and give it after she's been happily taking the bottle for a few days.

So sorry for such a short post. Don't know where my time goes. Hope everyone else is ok.

bluesatinsash · 17/11/2010 14:20

Barbie - your body will start to reabsorb the milk but you can keep expressing to relieve the pain over the next few days. Expressing will signal your body to keep producing milk but not to the same extent as a baby suckling. Once it gets less painful, stop expressing and your boobs will get softer over the next week or two.

BUT are you wanting to give up compeltely? your Sad makes me think you would like to continue but with bottles too to give you a break/allow your DH to feed her? Remember Neeko's H is now successfully combining after getting H to finally accept a bottle..

I gave up overnight/cold turkey but I wanted to switch to bottle and didn't feel Sad about it in the end as I was exhausted.

Thinking about you, these next few days x

cupcake - awww, what gorgeous photos Smile. Wee Jude in his tank top, and you and your DH look great (still think he looks like 'man of the hour' Prince William Grin). Cake is gorgeous too.

Louey - how are you today? I think you're having another boy too but my predicitions are usually wrong Grin. Already got a couple of bids for my stuff. I bought my IO dress for £120ish and sold it for £75, was well chuffed. Go on treat yourself safe in the knowledge you will get some $$ back.

4ever - lovely thing to do giving S's newborn clothes to charity. I gave huge bag of Ben's baby clobber to our local family centre who work with disadvantaged families but you get less and less duplicates/unworns as they get older so I become a bit more "oooh, could I sell this on and fund my Mini Boden addicition...? Grin" How's the ear? I said how's the EAR?!

MLS - SNORT! Can just picture your DD1 in an age 3 babygrow matching DD2 Smile. Time for all that and pray they're both in the same style league as my neices are polar opposites: tomboy/girlie girl = no matching allowed!

mermaid can I request some lovely spice candles for the greenhouse? There's a dear. Also slankets for all Grin

Vjay how's the car? All cosy and snug? You must post piccies of the boys in the Nan knitted cardy's Smile

Buddha - how's E's sleeping been?

Sabs - belated Happy Eid! The diet starts... well once all the good food has bene eaten Smile

neeko - Busy cherishing your last few weeks of being a SAHM. What are your plans for DH's b'day?

BQ - every day closer to your 12-week scan.

Moon if you're lurking, please go and see your Doc x

bluesatinsash · 17/11/2010 14:22

X-post neekowhiterabbitfromalice inwonderland -

barbie1 · 17/11/2010 15:03

neeko i sat in the car a few hours again crying and typed out a text to you, but it didnt send due to lack of funds! I just got your text, thankyou Smile

blue im gutted to stop feeding but deep down i know its for the best. She isn't taking solids too well, refuses breakfast as she has filled up on breast milk through the night and comforts sucks when tired. Im sure the sleep/ weaning will improve once the bottle situation sorts its self out. I would combine feed but i know she wont take to the bottle too easy again after being offered the breast. I will try, we have til sunday to sort this out.
On the plus side my mum has just got her to sleep without feeding (as she refused the bottle) and it didnt take too long....

Its hard, i cried, cleaned the kitchen, polised the bin, did a load of washing etc etc...

I will be back a little later to catch up more x

MummysLittleSunbeams · 17/11/2010 15:20

Barbie hang on in there, brilliant suggestion from Neeko about freezing your milk. I'm sure that once she takes the bottle she'll switch between boob & bottle with no worries. I always express in the evening & give dd2 a bottle when she has her 1st wake-up of the evening, the rest of the time she feeds directly from me. Tell me how your Mum got her to sleep without feeding her - then send her round here to help me! Grin

Blue I LOVE slankets & I've asked for a leopard print one for Christmas! Smile The problem is though that I may never leave the sofa again!

Moon yes, please do go & see your gp for a blood test. I'm so certain that you WILL be a Mummy.

GAH, run out of time yet again!

VJay · 17/11/2010 16:31

Hello Smile

barbie hope you're ok Smile When I stopped bf'ing I expressed a little for about three days then didn't need to after that. Hope Dolly settles soon for you.

blue I will post a picture of the boys in their cardis, I'm so looking forward to them. I have a slanket, I mainly use it when I sleep on the sofa with Ajay, I grab him and the slanket in my half dazed sleepiness and head for the lounge, 'tis very handy.

cupcake your pictures are lovely Smile, you all look so lovely and happy Smile

moon do we need to get the barbiemobile out and drag you to the doctors????

neeko loved your quick post Grin

Big waves to everyone, I'm cranking up the heating in the greenhouse and cosying down Smile

VJay · 17/11/2010 16:33

Oh and the car has definatly come at the right time, the weather is harsh at the mo, and louey I will cycle, just on nice days, so maybe June Grin

loueytbg · 17/11/2010 21:37

Evening all Smile

vjay I think being a fair-weather cyclist is definitely the way to go Smile. Loving the slanket (thanks for the link blue - had no idea what they were).

barbie ouch ouch ouch. I agree with the others, express a little until they feel better. I know I cut a feed out a day every 2-3 days but I think that won't work with your little monkey. I know it must be really hard for you to do this, but it sounds as though you know it needs to be done. Hopefully in a few weeks, she will be drinking out of bottles, eating more and sleeping a lot better.

mermaid hope you haven't been washed away. DH's family are fortunately in North Cornwall but it looks a mess down there. Come and shelter in the greenhouse Grin

mls I take it DS2 is using you as a dummy still?? Hope you are getting a little bit of sleep. Hugs from me.

cupcake fab photo of you all and love the cake! Jude looks all chubby and cuddly Smile

buddha thank you Grin will get them to check placenta location when I get to 12 weeks. I am a bit anal about all the details anyway and like to know - last time they were anterior which meant I didn't feel any movement until quite late on.

4ever just remembered that I did actually give away some of our baby clothes. Because my boys were so little (3lbs 11oz and 4lbs 1oz Shock) they were in tiny baby and prem baby clothes for ages. We donated them all to the neonatal unit where Luke spent some time as they always needed small baby clothes and we used their stock when he was in there. There was never enough. Felt like we were giving something back IYKWIM.

blue I may well buy a new dress then if they go for that much! A while away yet though. I am really hoping that we have no more scares - your bleed at 12wks must have been terrifying Sad.

neeko that was a very good short post. How is the dieting going this week?

lbm a stone!!!! Big claps to you, must have been hard doing that at the same time as going back to work. I'm sure J will decide she fancies food soon, there is no magic change that occurs at 6 months and 1 day as you know.

All is ok here, bit of brown gunk coming out (sorry for the TMI) but no cramps so I'm happy. I have however got quite a tummy already and virtually all my clothes are too tight or uncomfortable. I have a feeling I will be ditching my normal jeans before 12 weeks.

BTW - all those of you who haven't done their xmas shopping yet, ELC and mothercare have 20% off online and in store - started today. I think its supposed to finish on Friday.

barbie1 · 18/11/2010 08:24

Sorry still no time to catch up.....but dolly took a bottle Shock

Refused at 6pm last night, woke at 9pm (as usual) my mum took only minutes to get her back to sleep Hmm woke at 1.30am, took 2oz with a few screams thrown in...woke again at 5am due to the mosque took another 2 oz and then i took over and got her back to sleep til 6.30am.
This morning i came down and gave her a bottle and she just took like it was the most natural thing in the world

Confused Hmm

Now we are just offering her throughout the day, still think its going to be a while before she takes the recommended 7oz per feed

I feel so hormonal, on one hand im excited and happy, on the other im sad, but im sure this is the way to go.

I promise to do personals soon , much love from a happy sunshine girl xxx

What a monkey she is barbie - hunger has taken over I think. How are the boobs??

barbie1 · 18/11/2010 10:13

sore Sad.... i seem to have one side which is very sore and lumpy, even expressing isnt relieving it for very long?

How are you feeling, sick i hope! Grin

Just got her to sleep (which i was dreading) no feeding, just pacing the hallway and she dropped off on my shoulder! it cant be this easy can it Hmm

Hi louey Smile

loueytbg · 18/11/2010 10:48

Hi vjay Smile

ouch barbie cabbage leaves???

am feeling v sick Grin. Haven't thrown up this morning and I now wish I had.

Haven't done any work yet (naughty louey) but have managed to order some more perfume, surfed the ELC website for pressie ideas for my nephew and posted a few messages in the SN boards (not for me). Working at home is good Grin

My little sis has her first appt at IVF clinic this lunchtime so I'm a bit apprehensive for her. Will find out this evening what they've said. Am prob going to tell her I'm pg too so I'm a bit apprehensive about that. Have to tell her sometime though....

Right, going to attempt to do some work Grin

VJay · 18/11/2010 14:16

hi louey hope all goes well for your sister today, and that telling her about your pg will be ok Smile. I've just put up a thread on the SN board for me, well for Cjay, will hopefully get some replies soon.
