Hey all

Can anyone recommend somewhere to buy reasonably priced ovulation predictor kits? We're just being referred to our local assisted conception unit after 12 months TTC, so thought I'd better arm myself with some facts.

Am also having acupuncture, so I'm charting with that too.

Think I might be about to get a teensy weensy bit obsessed with it all!

All advice gratefully received Smile

ebay.

They are all pretty much the same other than you have to supply your own cup rather than having a big plastic wand thing you dip. You just get a little plastic stick instead.

They work fine. :)

And they are all pretty much the same, you either get a LH surge and a line, or you don't.

On Amazon you can get 25 for 5 pounds ish. Look for the number of millimetres the card is made from, the thicker it is the better quality and easier to read they are. I really recommend ignoring the instructions and doing 2 a day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon at least until you are able to identify how your cycle works.

I also really recommend the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Wecshler. It has loads of info about ov sticks, charting and much more. I use www.fertilityfriend.com to help record my temps/ov stick results/SWI times, everything. Its free and makes everything much easier to obsess interpret. Grin

best of luck xx
