AF symptoms but no AF

I'm posting this on behalf of a friend who is TTC. This is her 4th cycle since coming off the pill. First was long, last 2 spot on 24 days. This month she has been temping and DTD on same day she ovulated. Temps stayed high for the next week or so then started to drop on Monday. AF was due yesterday but not started yet. She has her usual symptoms though - spots and backache. Any idea if she could be pg despite the AF symptoms and temp drop?

Oh, by spots I mean on her face not spotting in terms of bleeding! Also she did have a slight bit of pink blood on Sat which would have been around the time she would have had an implantation bleed.

I would suggest she does a test but she has resigned herself to not being pg and I don't want to get her hopes up.

Anyone got any thoughts? I think I am more anxious/obsessive on her behalf than when I was TTC!

i think from all the stories you hear im sure it is possible but if she is very anxious, get her to take a pregnancy test
when i got pregnant i didn't feel any different in fact i thought my period was coming on..

Thanks. She isn't too anxious; is pretty sure AF is coming and just wants it to hurry up so she can be sure. She doesn't want to test just yet as she would be too disappointed if BFN. It's more me who is getting excited :)
