Ovulation/pms cramps for 2 weeks?

I've been TTC since Jan 09. I experience mild cramping (like PMS) from around day 13 of my cycle which I have taken to indicate ovulation. But I find it really confusing that these cramps continue until the day my period begins with no break. Is this something I should be concerned about? Or very common? I'm 38 with one DS. The pains never feels sharp or too painful and stop when the period begins.

I keep worrying that I should be worrying about it!! Ha!
