Could i be ............ again?

Hi,

I am a happy mum of 2 children, but i am starting to feel concerned because i have not seen AF since DS2 was 6 weeks old!I was taking the mini pill, but stopped taking it 2 weeks ago, hoping that AF would return! DS2 was exclusively bf him, but i was unable to keep him satisfied so he has gradually he was put onto formula.

He is now 19 weeks old and still no sign of AF, so i am now starting to think that i could be pregnant again, and i am really worried because i do not have the money to support another baby!

I have not said anything to DP because i dont know how to tell him, and i aint that close to my sister or mum so i dont really want to tell them either!

So i thought i would ask other mner's for there experiences after they finished bf, how long before AF returned?

Anything would be a great help, for the more i think the more worried i am becoming!

Do a test. If you have had sex since your DS was born then I suppose you could be. If DS is 19 weeks old and you have not seen AF since he was 6 weeks old, then you must be well past the false result stage? Buy a test

Mummy23 - I suppose its possible that you are pregnant. Could you pluck up the courage to do a test?

I had a scare a couple of months ago. Dd was 10 or 11months at the time (also ds 4), but I'd just landed myself a really good job (self-employed). It was the first time in my life that actually felt horrified at the thought of being pregnant again!
Thankfully, i wasn't, but I understand your fears.

Mine also returned at 6 weeks when fully breastfeeding so presumably I ov'd at 4weeks ish pp . Then another one around 8 weeks and not until I started to wean ds at 4 months with AF following at 5 months.

mummy23, my af didnt appear until my dd was 4 months and after ds2 was born, i didnt have af until he was 8 months, then they were very irregular until he was 16 months, but put your mind at rest and do a test.

You know you should do the test just so you know either way, no point in leaving it so late like you did with D!

Hi kid, i thought u would read this thread that i started, i dont think i am pregnant, i have not had any symptoms yets, and with DS1+2 i had symptoms from very early (feeling sick and tired all of the time), dont let M+D know yet as i need to do a test 1st to find out.

sadandfeellonely is a neighbour of mine, i found out recently who she was and that she used this website! (small world)

sadandfeellonely brought me one but i still haven't done it yet??? I aint plucked up the courage yet!

With DS1+2 i had to do the test in the morning otherwise i could not wee enough onto the stick (sorry if tmi)!

I promise i will do by the weekend and let u all know i have done it and the result!

I didn't learn my lesson with DS1+2!

Both times with DS's, i was on a break from the pill (using other contraception though), and feel pregnant nearly straight away!!!

DS2 has injections on friday, so i will talk to the doctor about AF then, see what she thinks it might be!!!
